Dragons 1 - 3 Kadur

33632 spectators had come to Psych Center this cloudy day. Pierre-Michel Sévigny was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Erko Rittmaier and Daniel Rodbom. They fielded: von der Weth - Atzmon, Bouzon, Kadlubiec - Godel, Selleri, Agacio, Kotev - Tranghese, Hjalmarsson, Gažica.

The following players had been chosen: Dieux - Pierangeli, Duffy, Mechtler - Żochowski, Campana, Uzunov, Molini - Tiponuţ, Mekel, Hadi.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 3-4-3 formation. Kadur mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. With 11 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, Dov Atzmon needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Kadur took the lead 12 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Orlandinho Campana was the scorer. Nicolas Bouzon twisted his arm after 22 minutes, but the Dragons player had no trouble continuing the game. 32 minutes in, Dragons's Stanislav Gažica received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. It emerged that Dallas Tranghese had hurt his right foot after 37 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. The player that took his place was Galor Tabashi. Dragons's Stanislav Gažica made an attempt at equalising 38 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Kadur had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Robban Hjalmarsson showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 47 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. Primus Mekel had a good opportunity to give Kadur the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. The visiting Jochen Mechtler was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 63 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Kadur coach let Simone Ginnari replace Girolamo Molini after 71 minutes. With Girolamo Molini no longer on the pitch, Scott Duffy became the new set pieces taker. Atanas Uzunov was handed the Kadur captain's armband. After 73 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Orlandinho Campana who increased Kadur's lead to 1 - 3. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 1 - 3. Kadur claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

Most important Dragons player was Stanislav Gažica. However, Nicolas Bouzon made a disastrous appearance. Kadur's top performer was clearly Abdul-Rahim Hadi. Simone Ginnari turned in a dismal performance, however.
