Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 50198 to Adlerhorst. Jean Wälli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aaron Vuori and Mauricio Archundia. Lineup: Macrini - Grünewald, Autrix, Tranchant - Hirner, Kondratyuk, Cunningham, Goulding - Arpaia, Ewald, Flicker.

The following players took the field: Radau - Ratajczyk, Koralewicz, Tomás Ferreira - Fibiak, Kikerpill, Casino, Jacobsson, Pitzecker - Pesonen, Pirès.

Steinhausen Coyotes entered the field in a 3-4-3 formation. The visitors, Juventus 1975, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. For their match strategy, Steinhausen had decided to use their magnificent ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Making his way up the middle 17 minutes into the match, Michael Hirner almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Jan Radau blocked it to keep the score level. Pietro Macrini looked great 22 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Massimo Casino. Massimo Casino of Juve75 was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Steinhausen created a good opportunity to score 28 minutes into the match when Mauro Arpaia's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. They were singing the praises of Florent Tranchant 35 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Steinhausen. Steinhausen showed their counterattack skill 37 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Gerard Cunningham scoring uncontested for 2 - 0. Juve75's Harald Pitzecker was shown a yellow card after 39 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Leon Jacobsson had a couple of good opportunities to reply after getting through the middle of the opposition defence, but the home team's keeper Pietro Macrini was simply unbeatable. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Pietro Macrini wanted to play on, but the Steinhausen coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by Nizar Diallo. Michael Hirner left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Émilien Chastagner was the replacement. Against a lesser team, Steinhausen could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 51 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Gelson Ewald squirmed through their central defence after 72 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The match ends 3 - 0. Steinhausen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

The most dominating Steinhausen player was without a doubt Mauro Arpaia. However, Gelson Ewald made a disastrous appearance. Most important Juve75 player was Hugo Pirès. Massimo Casino was a disappointment, however.
