EZSY 1 - 3 Pewsum

Clear skies welcomed the 16048 spectators who had made their way to Astormal Park. Eugenio Vallorani was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nakos Moultiramas and Nicola Taddeucci. People from all over New York City had joined up for the derby. The following players took the field: Škero - Gunderin, Gambihler, Myrmar, Dideriksen, Talakhadze - Logie, Krachunov, Elfmeter, Gudac, Karakolev -.

They fielded: Dubois - Richards, Marconi, Schofield - Onieva, Larimer, Lundin, Bussell-Smith, Legg - Kucherenko, Sairitupac.

EZSY FC started the game in a 5-5-0 formation, whereas TuS Pewsum lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. For their match strategy, EZSY had decided to use their supernatural ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Pewsum took the lead after 4 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Nikolay Kucherenko placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. It emerged that Leri Talakhadze had hurt his left foot after 10 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. Kåre Garde had already been warming up, and came on for Leri Talakhadze. After 15 minutes of play, Boris Krachunov equalised for EZSY after an elegant attack from the right. After 25 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as EZSY found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by EZSY, with 58 percent of the ball.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that EZSY had solid organisation. After 60 minutes, the EZSY coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Pavel Gunderin off the field. Marko Leprince took his place. With Pavel Gunderin no longer on the pitch, Marko Leprince took over free kick duty. José Logie was the new captain of EZSY - handed the armband by the departing player. José Logie would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Juan José Katz entered the game for EZSY as the match clock showed 60 minutes. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Fikret Škero took over the role of being the EZSY captain. After 75 minutes, Pewsum's James Marconi made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. After 79 minutes, following yet another great corner, Eduardo Sairitupac's flick on at the near post reached James Richards, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Pewsum's Ludwig Legg somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Eduardo Sairitupac, who struck for 1 - 3. After 83 minutes, Pewsum's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. EZSY's Marko Leprince managed a superb strike from the left after 84 minutes that would have left goalkeeper Marc Dubois without a chance, had it not hit the post. 87 minutes in, EZSY's Kåre Garde received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 1 - 3. EZSY enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating EZSY player was without a doubt Marko Leprince. On the other hand, Juan José Katz's play was disheartening. Pewsum's best player was Eduardo Sairitupac. However, Justin Larimer made a disastrous appearance.
