White-Blue 1 - 4 SCS

3622 spectators had come to White-Blue Doha Arena this cloudy day. Micke Davidsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . White-Blue tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Starters: Bubka - Arnold, Kraß, Bin Jassim Al-Rumaihi, Schwartz - Sønderlund, Rannefeld, Peuccelle, Fehringer - Al-Nuaimi, Beeckmans.

SCS had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Volarević - Ollonen, Hammer - Manzano, Gayrat Uulu, Schwendner, Samró, Olsson - Sternschanze, Datsenko, Basset.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for White-Blue on this day, taking advantage of their titanic level with that tactic. After 10 minutes, speedy Selmar Fehringer dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However, Wender Beeckmans failed to score. SCS's Karsten Sternschanze managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 11 minutes. 0 - 1. After 26 minutes, White-Blue's Mark Rannefeld fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! SCS's Kristian Samró's long shot really ought to have found the net 29 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. 33 minutes into the game, SCS worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. White-Blue caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 34 minutes into the match. Dominic Arnold was able to finish off the move - 1 - 1. It was 1 - 1 at the break. SCS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when Kristian Samró slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against Mieczysław Bubka, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. 50 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a SCS substitution. Artem Polunin came on for Leonid Datsenko. A penalty was given after 58 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 1 - 2. Bjørn Hammer was the scorer. The coach of SCS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Mousa Hadad came on for Hendrik Schwendner. Siegfried Kraß made a superb strike after 77 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. Jalil Samh was called on to replace SCS's Artem Polunin after 84 minutes following a nasty collision. The home crowd cheered when, after 86 minutes, Seytikul Gayrat Uulu's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 87 minutes into the game, Mark Rannefeld had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Galdor Sahuquillo. Jalil Samh's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 89 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to Karsten Sternschanze who knocked it in for SCS. 1 - 3! The home keeper was stunned 89 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by Bjørn Hammer and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 1 - 4. SCS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.

The most dominating White-Blue player was without a doubt Fahad Bin Jassim Al-Rumaihi. However, Galdor Sahuquillo made a disastrous appearance. Jean-Jacques 'JJ.' Basset performed admirably for SCS. On the other hand, Bjørn Hammer's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 4.
