The crowd of 3676 turning up at Victory Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Lukas Sivertsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Oriol Acevedo. Victory started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Blanch - Blumenfeld, Hickmann - Gotowiec, Bein, Schnellhardt, Broich, Aprodu - Moesenbacher, Čutek, Cominetti.

Speeder had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Galeani - Hoog, Kotász, Runza - Panzera, Major, Lämsä, Fresneau - Sinisi, Crampon, Belov.

Niko Lämsä had a good opportunity to give Speeder the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Korneliusz Major got himself booked. The manager of Speeder was not happy. The rain made it hard for players like Simon Albert Moesenbacher to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. After 28 minutes, Speeder's Marvin Hoog made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. After 35 minutes, Marvin Hoog sent the corner kick right to Niko Lämsä who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 2! Victory supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to Catello Cominetti who reduced the visitors' lead after 37 minutes to 1 - 2. After 42 minutes of play, Ilai Blumenfeld equalised for Victory after an elegant attack from the right. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Alfried Hickmann from Victory a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 43 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 2 - 3 was the score with 44 minutes played, after Ivan Belov cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Speeder. It was 2 - 3 at the break. Victory claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Victory's Grzegorz Gotowiec somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Catello Cominetti, who struck for 3 - 3. As the 60 minute mark approached, the Speeder coach decided it was time for a substitution. Ivan Belov reluctantly made way for 杨 (Yang) 若豪 (Ruohao) on the pitch. Victory had a chance to take the lead after Ilai Blumenfeld's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 71 minutes. Victory broke through on the left 75 minutes into the game, with Paul Aprodu firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 4 - 3 lead. Coming from the right, Jozef Čutek almost managed to score another goal for Victory, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Mosè Sinisi of Speeder received a yellow card after 80 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Andrin Runza tied the game at 4 - 4 after 81 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Speeder's Mickaël Crampon after 88 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 4 - 5 lead. The coach of Speeder was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, Wojciech Żerdzioch came on for Pier Federico Galeani. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Victory, with 55 percent of the ball.

Most important Victory player was Catello Cominetti. However, Simon Albert Moesenbacher made a disastrous appearance. Speeder's top performer was clearly Mickaël Crampon. Wojciech Żerdzioch was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 5.
