Clear skies welcomed the 1910 spectators who had made their way to WoodsBank. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Cezar Catanã and . The match took place on neutral ground. Drags decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Valenciaga Ros - Borscheid, Phelippeau, Chlebowski - Junginger, Schmelz, Gogenberg, Hedley, Komadina - Krenzler, Eggström.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Querstraße. Starters: Brimi - Billenstein, Witschar, Fritzenwenger - Rewitz, Niedernhuber, Neff, Wolfgang, Struß - Monard, Mujezin.

Fritz Neff received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 36 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Bernard Rewitz came close to putting the visiting team one up 44 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Alvar 'Wolle' Valenciaga Ros managed to tip the ball to a corner. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Querstraße enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Drags took the lead 48 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Johan Borscheid elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A great save by keeper Jan Brimi after 57 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Olof Eggström struck from the left with a real cannonball. A cross coming in on the right hand side left Theodor Witschar alone in front of the goal after 75 minutes but his shot was woeful. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Querstraße's Jonas Billenstein put the ball in the onion bag after 76 minutes to make it 1 - 1. 77 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Drags substitution. Jaime Vivar came on for Olof Eggström. Tim Hedley was handed the Drags captain's armband. After 78 minutes, the Drags coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Tim Hedley off the field. Kerewin van Santen took his place. Jaime Vivar was the new captain of Drags - handed the armband by the departing player. Davor Komadina would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Armin Corrocher entered the game for Drags as the match clock showed 88 minutes. Max Schmelz got new instructions from the Drags coach after 88 minutes. He changed positions with David Phelippeau soon after. Drags had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. There was concern in the stands when, at the 92 minute mark, Drags's Jaime Vivar hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Yoda Fritzenwenger seemed to be huffing and puffing 94 minutes into the match. Jaime Vivar of Drags took advantage of his obvious fatigue to chip in past the keeper. 2 - 1 Drags put themselves up 3 - 1 when Wilke Gogenberg broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Kerewin van Santen squirmed through their central defence after 112 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. The players of Drags now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Drags's top performer was clearly Jaime Vivar. On the other hand, Max Schmelz's play was disheartening. Most important Querstraße player was Hansruedi Niedernhuber. Jonas Billenstein was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
