A scorching day at Meerbusch Rangers Arena, where 2504 spectators were in place for today's match. Jordi Oving was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Md Ali bin Jaafar and Jarosław Pastuch. The match took place on neutral ground. Bauernstars started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Gudenrath - Rošić, Kainz, Tolloch - Wück, Kopsalakis, Brettmann, Pietsch, Wangelin - Tänzler, Zinn.

PizzaBurners had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Oviedo - Zeitz, Ghelich, Wszołek, Knézy - Satuffer, Kaitarinne, Muñoz Miralles, Kitikov, Gherasim - Świrk.

For their match strategy, PizzaBurners had decided to use their magnificent ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Bauernstars's Mario Wangelin left the field after 14 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Lars Spar. The referee showed PizzaBurners's Jere Kaitarinne the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Klaus Detlef Pietsch's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Bauernstars, he bravely continued in the match. 25 minutes into the game, PizzaBurners seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. Bauernstars enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped PizzaBurners get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Fred Wück's tried to storm through the defence after 59 minutes, but Bence Knézy was just too fast to shake off and the rest of the defence got back to cover. Bence Knézy didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. With 72 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Bernd Brettmann flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. PizzaBurners's Piotr Wszołek was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 73 minutes. As usual, Noshad Ghelich tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. 75 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as Amadeo Satuffer struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. Bauernstars had a good opportunity to take the lead as Lars Spar came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Fernando Antonio Oviedo. Bauernstars had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that PizzaBurners had excellent organisation. 103 minutes into the game, PizzaBurners had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. After 109 minutes, Lukas Paul Tänzler came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Bauernstars the lead. Bauernstars's top performer was clearly Phil Zinn. Lars Spar turned in a dismal performance, however. PizzaBurners's best player was Miguel Muñoz Miralles. However, Bence Knézy made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
