Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 3349 to Little Highbury. Albert Štěpek was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Guillermo Arroyo and Alfonso Dosma. The match took place on neutral ground. African had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Lineup: Tse Yew - Ternullo, van Velthuijsen - Pouvreau, Berghean, Mpatirakis, Sardinha, Kumerle - Diack, Diam, Ganusauskas.

Rot-Weiss tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Altenburg - Dreeblöcken, Čulko, Buschhaus - Köckritz, Bibeň, Buuk, Sibellius, Raechl - Rocheid, Kreißle.

Today, Rot-Weiss's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. Thiawlo Diack gave African the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Cheers filled the stadium as Robertinho Sardinha broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to African. Faraji Diam of African received a yellow card after 29 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. African were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 33 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by Robertinho Sardinha. 3 - 0 for the home side. By now, the players in African felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in African's Geržadas Ganusauskas increasing the lead to 4 - 0. African's Geržadas Ganusauskas had an excellent opportunity after 38 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Rot-Weiss had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Gotthelm Raechl could've grabbed a goal for Rot-Weiss 39 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Rot-Weiss had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Michael Buuk fired a shot from distance after 62 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Rot-Weiss. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Rot-Weiss, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. 75 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as Chris Rocheid anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 4 - 1. After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Thiawlo Diack might have resulted in another goal for African. However, Vilhelm Altenburg made a spectacular save. Chris Rocheid had a couple of good opportunities to reply after getting through the middle of the opposition defence, but the home team's keeper Kang Tse Yew was simply unbeatable. 87 minutes into the game, African were awarded a penalty that Robertinho Sardinha turned into 5 - 1 without a problem. By then Robertinho Sardinha had scored three goals - a hat trick! Rot-Weiss reduced the lead after 88 minutes to 5 - 2 as Anton Bibeň easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. Rot-Weiss enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

African's best player was Faraji Diam. Jacob Pouvreau turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Rot-Weiss player was Anton Bibeň. Michael Buuk on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 2.
