As one of the teams did not arrive in time for the agreed match, the resourceful Lattenkracher players searched the area for alternative opponents, and found some real football experts in front of the tv in a nearby pub. The 1256 fans in attendance at Berliner Eisenfüße Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Christopher Curtin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Agostino Rotini and Paulo Ardüser. The match took place on neutral ground. Lattenkracher had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Spät - Leubel, Gehringer, Partein - Memerty, Gerhards, Kicker, Augustiner, Evert - Timushev, Schemmann.

Südländer tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players took the field: Stenker - Zecher, Gschwindl, Kampmann, Akbal - Ziener, Gasse, Pedersen, Bubenin - Schenkendorf, Zalar.

Lattenkracher fans held their breath as Anton Augustiner scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! Cheers filled the stadium as Anton Augustiner broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Lattenkracher. The sun seemed to put Fehmi Akbal in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Lattenkracher to 3 - 0 as Anton Augustiner finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. By then Anton Augustiner had scored three goals - a hat trick! Lattenkracher managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when Jens Evert cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After this, you could see that the players of Lattenkracher were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Teis Pedersen of Südländer received a yellow card after 36 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Lattenkracher's Eddy Gehringer increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 37 minutes. 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Lattenkracher had most of the ball, with 80 percent of possession.

Lattenkracher put themselves up 6 - 0 when Anton Augustiner broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Lattenkracher put in a good effort on the right, but Edmond Schemmann saw his volley fly wide of the mark 52 minutes into the game. Südländer almost scored after a counterattack 65 minutes into the match, but Mathias Gschwindl took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. The Lattenkracher free kick 66 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Eddy Gehringer, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 7 - 0! Usually a powerful player on the field, Malte Kicker looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. Winfried Memerty left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Relja Jokanović was the replacement. After 86 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Edmond Schemmann gave the Lattenkracher supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0. Lattenkracher claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.

Mikhail Timushev performed admirably for Lattenkracher. On the other hand, Relja Jokanović's play was disheartening. Südländer's top performer was clearly Valentin Bubenin. However, Teis Pedersen made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 0.
