Dark skies made the crowd of 3781 at Tal der Qual a little nervous, but the rain held off. Kurni Veerpalu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Matti Virtanen and Robert Piersa. The match took place on neutral ground. Speeder had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Galeani - Hoog, Morgen, Runza, von Horsten - Fresneau, Lämsä, Panzera - Laurent, Nedelciu, 若豪 (Ruohao).

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Beninze. They fielded: Brès - Jolly, Pagniez, Oliveira - Plaire, Reis, Nicolas, Larive, Peton - Marguet, Guesdon.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Speeder on this day, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. After 22 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Speeder on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by 杨 (Yang) 若豪 (Ruohao) to make it 1 - 0. Éric Fresneau hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Speeder's 杨 (Yang) 若豪 (Ruohao) an easy chance to knock it in for 2 - 0. Beninze kept trying to force their way through on the right side and Ulysse Marguet got his chance after 32 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Beninze, with 67 percent of the ball.

The Speeder players could smell victory in the air. Éric Fresneau wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Hans-Martin Bell after 46 minutes. The coach of Speeder was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Stéphane Ducher came on for Ion Nedelciu. The bench was restless, and with 60 minutes passed Beninze's coach gave Lucas Soulard the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Michaël Nicolas reluctantly left the field. As Michaël Nicolas left the field, the coach signaled to Nicolas Plaire to be the new set pieces taker. Ulysse Marguet was handed the Beninze captain's armband. Beninze needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes Antoine Guesdon made way for Primo Hoffmann. Beninze were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 75 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to Vincent Pagniez, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1. Speeder showed their counterattack skill 83 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Andrin Runza scoring uncontested for 3 - 1. By now, the players in Speeder felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The home side's Andrin Runza came close to extending the lead 84 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Kévin Brès managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. The referee showed Speeder's Domenico von Horsten the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Beninze had to make a substitution after 87 minutes. Ulysse Marguet limped off the field and was replaced by Hutch Elliott. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Primo Hoffmann took over the role of being the Beninze captain. Pier Federico Galeani left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 89 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Wojciech Żerdzioch was the replacement. Possession in this half belonged to Beninze, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

Speeder's top performer was clearly Stéphane Ducher. Wojciech Żerdzioch turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Beninze player was without a doubt Primo Hoffmann. On the other hand, Hutch Elliott's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
