Clouds darkened the skies at Grünwalder Stadion as 1574 spectators turned up for the match. Dimitrie Chivu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . The match took place on neutral ground. Narrisch had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Wantuch - Luttenberger, Frydrych, Ast, Hochreiter - Harvan, Constantini, Windisch, Zavaleta, Dimitriu - Kragulj.

Starlet decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. The following players took the field: Weissenbacher - Schyma, Accettola, Dönmez, Lozhnikov, Pérez - Ronchetti, Pech, Kellerer, Kiszka - Bonilla.

Narrisch took the lead 14 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Wolfgang Luttenberger elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. With 17 minutes gone, Starlet had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, Barnaba Ronchetti did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Krzysztof Kiszka from Starlet a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 26 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Starlet's Kevin Schyma had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 29 minutes having been played. Söhnke Kielmanssegg was the replacement. Sonner Bonilla became the new Starlet captain. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Starlet claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 50 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting Starlet a penalty. Constantin Pech knocked it home. 1 - 1 70 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Narrisch substitution. Alexander He came on for Richard Windisch. A late sliding challenge from Krzysztof Kiszka was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Starlet left a man down. Narrisch were forced into a substitution as Adam Harvan couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing Paul Eberhardt to come in off the bench. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Starlet, with 52 percent of the ball.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. Narrisch fans held their breath as Aleksa Kragulj scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! Things were deteriorating for the away team as Narrisch scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Aleksa Kragulj after 101 minutes. The players of Narrisch now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Luis Pérez was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Starlet's Ziya Dönmez managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 3 - 2 Cheers filled the stadium as Alexander He broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 2 to Narrisch. Most important Narrisch player was Aleksa Kragulj. Paul Eberhardt was a disappointment, however. Starlet's top performer was clearly Sonner Bonilla. Söhnke Kielmanssegg turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
