2796 spectators arrived at Cagalera Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Wilmer Barahona. The match took place on neutral ground. Matadores had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Sousa - Rocha Sousa, Rapisarda, Louhichi, Bragadireanu, de Jesus - Korpysz, Samsami, Versée, Rocha - Prantl.

Brüllaffen tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Bontekoe - Trufan, Speciale, Yläkorpi - Alatas, Tohoop, Adalakis, Boro, Pinsino - Moroz, Balog.

It was obvious that Matadores were using their passable pressing skill as their primary tactic. Brüllaffen's Franco Speciale could have put the guests one up after 11 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but Manuel André Sousa was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. After 37 minutes, Simos Adalakis sent the corner kick right to Juho Yläkorpi who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 1! A drive down the left side allowed Franco Speciale to get in close and score another goal for Brüllaffen after 38 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. Cristóvão Rocha's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 40 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to Mojmír Prantl who knocked it in for Matadores. 1 - 2! With 41 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Simos Adalakis of Brüllaffen to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3. 42 minutes in, Brüllaffen's Daniel Trufan received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Brüllaffen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

Always a threat, Cristóvão Rocha tore past his marker and placed the ball right at the feet of the waiting Mojmír Prantl who should have easily scored for Matadores, but the ball went wide. Some fine movement on the left led to a Brüllaffen goal after 66 minutes, making it 1 - 4. Franco Speciale was noted down as the scorer. The home crowd cheered when, after 69 minutes, Igor Moroz's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. After 78 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Matadores's Cristóvão Rocha being carried off the pitch and replaced by Custódio Martinho. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Rafał Korpysz took over the role of being the Matadores captain. Marcello Tohoop came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Manuel André Sousa but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Piotr Boro of Brüllaffen was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Matadores needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 87 minutes Mahan Samsami made way for Raul Cananão. Brüllaffen came close to extending their lead as József Balog delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 87 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed Matadores's coach gave Manuel Arriaga the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Valente Rocha Sousa reluctantly left the field. Brüllaffen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

Matadores's top performer was clearly Mojmír Prantl. On the other hand, Daniel Augusto de Jesus's play was disheartening. Igor Moroz performed admirably for Brüllaffen. Antonakis Alatas turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
