Clouds darkened the skies at Schanzenpark as 1214 spectators turned up for the match. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vincentis Morgevičius and . SCS tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Volarević - Ollonen, Hammer, Manzano - Olsson, Schwendner, Hadad, Gayrat Uulu, Samh - Datsenko, Basset.

DKvD decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Fernández de Córdoba - Fischer, Therrien, Zamir, Lastra - Danko, Thuemmler, Tissari, Heiðmarsson - Adorf, Ederberg.

DKvD were relying on their extra-terrestrial ability to counter-attack. Leonid Datsenko sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from Mousa Hadad after 9 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 0. With 26 minutes played, Jalil Samh could have brought this one home for SCS as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. DKvD showed their counterattack skill 27 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Nick Danko scoring uncontested for 1 - 1. A lovely run by DKvD's Reinhard Adorf left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide. A badly positioned defensive formation on a free kick after 41 minutes led to DKvD's Mehmet Zamir giving the visitors the lead 1 - 2. With 43 minutes played, after a good run down the left, Hendrik Schwendner went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. SCS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

After 68 minutes of play, Leonid Datsenko evened things up for SCS with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. 71 minutes into the match and the home team took a 3 - 2 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for SCS was Leonid Datsenko. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Leonid Datsenko. The score became 4 - 2 at 78 minutes into the game, when SCS were given a penalty which Mousa Hadad blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! The coach of SCS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, Arthur Giry came on for Miska Ollonen. Jean-Jacques 'JJ.' Basset left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 89 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Karsten Sternschanze was the replacement. Arthur Giry became the new SCS captain. SCS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

The most dominating SCS player was without a doubt Mousa Hadad. On the other hand, Arthur Giry's play was disheartening. Most important DKvD player was Pör Ederberg. Reynaldo Fernández de Córdoba on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.
