Why do we need to train our young talent? What is Local Only Policy?

Our ultimate goal is to WIN the world cup. We have showed to the
HT world that bronze medal is not a dream for a small country like
ours (with luck of course). Therefore, the first step to begin
with is to train good players to ensure Malaysia can compete with
any other strong nations in HT. Local teams play an important
role here as we are the ones with the greatest desire and we care
more than anyone else to develop our best talent. Hence, the good
prospect should always stay in a local team who wants to get
involved, understand how to train the players, and also able to
follow instruction from the U20/NT coach(on training regime; stamina
requirements). Thus, we introduce you the Local Only Policy
(also known as LOP), which is a policy that require Malaysia HT
teams to keep their youth players or make sure they stay and
trained by a Malaysian.

As Rome is not built in a day, this journey is very very long.
Do be informed that we probably will not be the proud owner for
an U20 or NT in a world cup winning team (such as our NT that won
the bronze medal) but, it is always a great pride, honor and
achievement for ourselves to have at least trained one U20 or NT player. I believe most of us have already experienced the satisfaction of
training a gem to the best that we can. Training update on Friday
has somehow become a part of our real life.

Local Only Policy is not meant to sacrifice your money. We do not
want local teams to declare bankruptcy in this project. It is an
opportunity to enjoy playing HT by training local talent
while doing well in terms of results or the financial growth for your
HT team.

How do we participate in this project?

After reading the first paragraph making your heartbeat goes
up, you only have a question in mind, 'how do I participate?'.

Phase 1 (every Malaysian):
-active in following the Malaysia HT forums
-post your weekly youth scouted in this thread, 'Projek Remaja
Season 36'
-post the youth stats on the 'Youth Pull/Promotion Season 36'
thread when you promote the youth to the senior team
-if a talented youth is identified after the weekly youth
training update, post it in the 'Projek Remaja Season 36' thread
too!
-again, post the youth training progress in HTMY forum (http://www.htmy.org/forum/)
-this is optional but we strongly encourage you to do so (so that
we are aware of the progress)

Phase 2 (U20 Head Scout & U17 Chief Scout)
-collect the talented youth details
-guide, discuss or advise the local team to make sure the youth is
trained with the best method
-follow the progress of the youth training

Phase 3
-once a talented youth is identified, scout will
look for suitable local teams in advance to secure
the youth when he eventually is promoted
-we really need to do it in advance (2 months and
above, the earliest the better it is), so that the local
team can prepare a slot and also have the budget
-it is important to remember that we want the local
trainers to have the time to prepare and avoid short
notice of talented pull whereby our community may not have the
trainer nor the financial power to secure him
-ideally, we need at least 2 to 3 local trainers on standby
to secure a great pull as we might not know what
can happen in the future whereby we have urgent
matter to attend (availability) instead of bidding for the player
-if a local trainer has the urge to buy and train
our talented youth and we have other local trainers
ready to buy him, feel free to contact us so that
we can discuss and arrange accordingly
-this goes the same if you want to pull out from
buying the youth, please do inform us in advance,
it is not a big deal at all
