Close to my heart

Oceania is a nation close to my heart, yet I have no biological connection.
So why is Oceania so close to me?

It all began with Nat the Rat, a constant presence in the forums. It was he that was an ever-presence in my learning of the game that is Hattrick. After some time I explored the Oceanian forums, I watched the OCP and tipping competitions and saw the forum banter. Everytime I logged on I would make the trip to the Oceanian forum to catch up on whats going on overseas. It even got to the point where I was reading the Oceanian forum more than the English one. I began to post in the forum, to get involved with the OCP and tipping comps, not that I ever did well.

The community was so welcoming, and it wasn't long before I found The OH Show. I listened in to begin with, trying to pluck up the courage to go on live. Eventually I plucked up the courage, and participated on the show, I even got my own segment to bring the English news.
I built up a friendship with Wozzanoski & Jaydageezer, and spent time chatting to them and others over teamspeak. We discussed so much, and they even tried once to explain Aussie rules football to me! :P
I follow your NT & U20 teams, and cheer your lads on, I'm dreaming of an England Vs. Oceania final :)

I've always felt so welcomed, and everyone has been so friendly. I feel I've been accepted here in Oceania, and consider myself to be 'connected' to you Guys and Gals despite the miles between us.
