The barrack stays just new soldiers

Hello, my name is Jide Fowler. I am a 42 year old solid coach of a division III series team in Nigeria. Do not bother looking me up. I choose to remain anonymous so my age and name has been "altered". I am a Nigerian. I played in the U-20 and senior team World cups. Here is how it all began.

It starts out as fun at first, just another Nigerian teen having fun on the dusty fields of a school till someone in suit approaches you, the feeling is like coming home late on your birthday, you turn on the lights and get a SURPRISE. When you get to the academy, you meet other lads who dream of a senior team shirt or even better; if they work hard enough, they get to be sold to a team abroad and zoom! go higher from there. I always fancied my chances at 1/10 chance of ever continuing my playing career. Competition for places was though. My favourite role on the pitch was Inner Midfielder Defensive. One match there and the Youth trainer is already sending me Love poems. He told me i had a very solid insight when playing as a defensive midfielder and had chances of having an excellent play-making skill and had a passable feet when passing. I was thrilled because i was just 15 and a few days old. of course there was the occasional injury spell, but i recovered quick. And there was the constant pressure from the senior team to have me ready at 17 (no day) for immediate inclusion in the first team. The pressure was on! The other lads in the academy were jealous, the youth trainer kept screaming order in training and at the pitch, and by 17, i was ready. Time flew and by 20 i was captain of the senior team, the team was perched comfortably in first place with the expectation of promotion to the premiership; it was paradise on earth! After another comfortable outing on Sunday evening, i got a call from the U-20 coach requesting my presence for a meeting. I had seen him in the VIP section. He praised my Outstanding defense abilities, my Extraterrestrial play-making, and of course my solid leadership and magnificent passing. before i knew it, i was on the team roaster. We went to the world cup, exited in the second round. After that, there was pressure on my club to sell, and they did. almost half a billion. Long story short, i captained the National team before i retired and now went into coaching. The cycle continues i guess. Now i see the youths of these days under my wing and it gives me joy, because i know my country has hope for tomorrow because i know that tomorrow They will be among giants playing on tera firma.
