We may not have had a huge amount of success on the pitch, but Scotland has a rich heritage in world football when it comes to characters. Much of this is down to colourful language and an unrivaled mastery of our neighbour's mother tongue, whether it's witty retorts from managers, potent punditry or poetic commentary. On Hattrick, this way with words has been evident in our forums, which attract managers from far and wide to sample and partake in our witty banter, but there's another way we can vent our verbosity - Hattrick Press.

Hi, I'm JPtheBean, and as the new press editor for Scotland I'm trying to rekindle some enthusiasm for Hattrick Press here and get you all involved!

What is Hattrick Press?

It's a sort of Magazine for all things Hattrick-related, and anyone can submit an article! Each country has its own Hattrick Press section and Editor(s), and there's a Global one as well.
If you're reading this, then you've found Scotland's section (maybe you clicked 'Scotland' and then saw the article previews beneath the Forum Sneak-peek, or maybe you clicked 'My Hattrick' and then 'Hattrick Press' in the Community section). The Global Press section can be found here (/World/)

What kind of content can I submit?

Anything! (...as long as it's related in some way to Hattrick ...and not too sweary... and in English/Scots). In the past people have done diaries, tactical tips, guides, interviews, statistical studies, creative writing, stories about how they got started in HT etc etc.
Once you click 'Submit Article', it will be passed on to the Editor (that's me) for review and approval. I might make one or two suggestions for improvement if I'm in a bad mood, but it'll probably be amazing anyway.

So what's so good about Press?

Well, for one it's one of the only places on Hattrick with a 'Like' button! I'll obviously have a number of great articles submitted by you, and in a year I'll put up a prize for the article with the most likes! I'm also hoping to get some regular contributions from our National Team managers and will scour the global press sections for relevant and interesting articles. In addition there's a forum thread here (16449081.1) which will be updated with the latest offerings, and where you can discuss all the latest content and have a yabber.
