Is it really so simple Gary?

Tonight is the quarter final stage of the English Cup. Windsor Krauts are the lowest ranked team left in the Cup, although currently ranked 19th in England, and face the English Champions, the scarily effective long shots team, Shakhtar Donuts.

You acquired Hoyerswerda Oaks in Germany (München) in August 2004 and then acquired Windsor Krauts in England, when 2nd teams were first permitted, in May 2013. This English quarter-final is the furthest you've progressed in a primary Cup competition with either team, you must be delighted?

Well, it took me a long time to get this far, so yeah I'm very delighted. The Cup never held much priority, as my teams have not really been good enough to have any chance against those day traders and all these teams in the upper divisions.

My current English team is the best I've ever had so I thought I'd give it a go this season.

Hoyerswerda is a German district twin located in Saxony, in an area filled with many lakes and wiki tells us that is located in the Sorbian settlement area of the Upper Lusatia, a region where some people speak the Sorbian language in addition to German. Can you tell us a little bit about this and your connection with the region?

Yes, there is a minority group living in Germany and especially here in this region. They came with the great immigration of folk in the early middle age from Eastern Europe to Germany, searching for a better life, quite similar to the immigrants nowadays.

At Easter time they do some great processions and also create some special arty painting of their Easter Eggs.

I moved to this region with my parents in 1980, when the coal industry was still very much alive. As a grown up I then moved to Munich, which is where I still live.

Your 'English only' squad at Windsor Krauts includes a powerful CD called Dan Dare (396743461) who cost you £3.79m (http:http://www.frankhampson.co.uk/dandare.php] Please tell us a little bit about this, and whether you had to pay a bit above TC to get a player with such a special name?

Oh, I didn't realise his name was so special. It isn't that well known in Germany I guess and I don't remember paying much above TC. He was the only one on the market at the time with his level of skills and the English nationality. I'm glad to have him in my team.

What's your favourite beverage and place to imbibe?

Well, thats pretty easy. I am German and I live in Munich so it has to be beer. There are a few good places around here. The time when I was living in the UK in Windsor there was a pub called the " Two Brewers" I used to love the place. (http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3103486)

Please could you tell us about the last book you read and whether you'd recommend it?

Hmm. It was a German book about politics called " Government without people"

It's about questioning if democracy still exists. It's about the political establishment and so on. Would I recommend it ? Well perhaps, cause its not just critical about the current system, as it also shows how to try and change it or at least to make it a bit better.

Do you have a favourite building or architectural design?

I dont really like modern achitecture so rather like the ancient houses or buildings. Windsor castle always has been very impressive to me. Its not just the look of it its more the fact how much history happend behind these old walls. Fantastic! We had a few changes to special events and the introduction of man-marking this season. Of these changes what would you say you like the least and the most, and why?

Mostly I like their revaluation of specialities, making them more important other then the Head spec. Finally, this has given the game a lot more profundity. Personally, I like the changes for the powerful players like forwards or even better those to the powerful DiM. I find this to be a very nice tactical option.

The influence of the weather is what I like least, and never did and now it seems that they have made it even worse.

Man marking seems a great new option but i haven't tried it yet.

Please tell us how your significant other feels about your addiction to this game and about him/her and how you met?

I am not so sure she really knows about this and I won't be telling her. Why wake up sleeping dogs?

We've been together about 3 years now. We met at a museum in Munich where she was working as a guide. About a week afterwards I bumped into her in town. She still recognized me so I reckoned I'd have a chance.

Please provide us a link to utube or vimeo to one of your favourite of all time tunes, and something you liked from 2017-18 as well?

It has to be this one.

Ed. likes this too.

What are your medium term aspirations for both your hattrick teams, in terms of achievements and training?

With my English team I pretty much have achieved what I wanted from it. This target was to have only local players and to finally get above the magical 500 hatstats line, which happened just a few weeks ago.

So, that's also become the plan for my German team. Might be a case of never gonna happen, as I've got hardly any money.

The English team will reach its peak shortly, and I will switch soon to their final training plan which will be scoring. I wouldnt expect to make it into the Prem but a dream would come true if they did. Lets see.

Anyway, thanks for giving me the chance to introduce myself here, sorry for my English and lets see if there might be even a sniff of a chance against the English Champion. I promise I wont just throw it away.
