Weather conditions were pretty good for football today. Lineup: Boere - Despagne, Dumont, Logghe, Verea - Geenen, Bailleul, De Jans, Beazar - Mommaerts, Van Acker.

The following players took the field: Simeonov - Znepolski, Trendafilov - Vitanov, Iliev, Orgun, Ilkov, Gyurov - Ural, Dimitrov, Peykov.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team FC Pietendries went for 4-4-2 while Shark Tales has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Shark mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their brilliant level with that tactic. Shark took the lead after 3 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Angel Vitanov placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Baptiste Mommaerts could have scored for Pietendries with his free kick after 8 minutes, but the visitors' keeper just managed to get a hand on it. After 10 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Lyudmil Dimitrov who increased Shark's lead to 0 - 2. 21 minutes into the game, Shark seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. Pietendries reduced the lead to 1 - 2 with 22 minutes on the clock when Vincent Van Acker got the best of a ball floated in from the left. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Pietendries claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

A review of the gameplan helped Shark get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Pietendries needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes Leander Dumont made way for Thomas Van Staen. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Pietendries's Manu De Jans came in from the right after 61 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2. 65 minutes into the game, Pietendries wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Baptiste Mommaerts gave Jan Delameillieure a quick hug as he left the field. As Baptiste Mommaerts exited the field, Thomas Van Staen volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. 77 minutes in, Shark appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. Pietendries's Jan Delameillieure showed his experience after 78 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. 79 minutes into the match and the home team took a 3 - 2 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Pietendries was Thomas Van Staen. 81 minutes into the game, Shark had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. Kenzo Geenen should probably have put his team up another goal after 82 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Elin Simeonov kept the visitors in the game. Shark's right side looked dangerous 85 minutes in, but Witse Boere made a good save on Tolga Orgun's hard shot to the top corner. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 3 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Pietendries, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Pietendries's top performer was clearly Vincent Van Acker. Guy Despagne turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Shark player was without a doubt Mehmet Nuri Ural. Elin Simeonov was a disappointment, however.
