Bulins 3 - 1 FC TOP

Weather conditions were pretty good for soccer, and the boys were happy to see 298 people gathered to watch their game at il gnieu. The lucky starting players: Laurenceau - Spitta, Philippe, Paillot, Rossi - Ercole, Caille, Loepfe, Buffat - Becker, Pfeninger.

The coach fielded the following talents: Lazarovski - Kargovski, Desnoski, Cekovski, Damcevski - Oshavkov, Matevski, Lazareski - Batrović, Dzambaski, Mulleti.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. The home team, Brastulederins, went for a 4-4-2, while FC TOPLICA U18 has decided to play a 4-3-3 lineup. The senior squad coaches will be reviewing the video of minute 10 after a fantastic solo goal by Rino Buffat. He started near the center line on the right side of the field, and after a scintillating run full of tricks and turns, Bulins lead 1 - 0. Fridolin Becker could have put Bulins up one more, but he stumbled on a sprinkler head on his way towards the goal from the left after 18 minutes. You can tell this isn't the senior team's field... After 27 minutes, Fridolin Becker found the key to the opposing defense and worked himself into position for a shot. Bulins nearly increased their lead there, but in the end the strike was denied by Sotir Lazarovski between the posts. Sotir Lazarovski kept the visitors in the game with an amazing save after 30 minutes, following Guy Paillot's cannonball kick. That might just go viral - if anyone bothered to record it. Still trailing on the scoreboard, and with defeat staring them in the face, FC TOP adjusted their tactics after 40 minutes. The coach and Tanas Oshavkov had a quick chat on the sidelines, then he switched positions with Nikola Batrović. FC TOP needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 42 minutes Tanas Oshavkov made way for Andrej Trenev. Although the whole team was struggling to impress, Lazo Dzambaski was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the field after 43 minutes. Anastas Kolldani was given his chance to turn things around. As Lazo Dzambaski left the field, the coach signaled to Ivo Desnoski to start taking the set pieces that occurred. The bench was restless, and in minute 44 the coach gave Gjore Strumenovski the opportunity he had been hoping for. Ditlum Mulleti reluctantly left the field. 1 - 0 was the score after 45 minutes. Bulins, bringing their ball possession to 56 percent, seemed most ambitious today.

Bulins's Fridolin Becker looked like he would seal the deal, but his rush down the middle after 58 minutes was stopped by a defender just as he was about to get a shot off. Anastas Kolldani's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for Tim Loepfe. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. The 2 - 0 goal came 68 minutes into the game, on a penalty kick for Bulins. Mathias Caille anticipated where the goalie was heading, and placed the ball in the other corner. Ivo Desnoski is often seen experimenting with free kicks after the regular training sessions. It looks like all that time has paid off, as a curved shot took the keeper by surprise and FC TOP were one goal closer to their opponents. 2 - 1. Mathias Caille certainly is a cocky one, isn't he? He won a penalty in minute 74 and decided to go for the Panenka penalty - a chip down the middle. Luckily for Bulins, it worked! Now it's 3 - 1. After 77 minutes, FC TOP had a fantastic opportunity to reply but Andrej Trenev tried to do it all by himself and the chance vanished. That's all, folks! The match ends 3 - 1. Bulins pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

The Bulins players gave Tim Loepfe a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Dimitri Laurenceau showed he still has a lot to learn. The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy on FC TOP today had been Nikola Batrović. Ivo Desnoski needs a lot of extra training, however.
