Jungs 1 - 6 kopuci

The weather was decent, and some 185 people seemed interested enough in the game to visit Quiagon today. Starters: Verbauwen - Brière, Declercq, De Weert - De Jaeger, Grignard, Pollard, Rakham - Spedicato, Gysels, Tellier.

The picks for today were: Kirkovski - Abrashev, Kiroski - Jankulovski, Konstantinovski, Koneski, Mircheski, Ivanovski - Gorgievik, Jotov, Dushkovski.

Jung ins Kopf trundled out to the pitch in a 3-4-3 formation. The visitors, kopuci, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Tomislav Konstantinovski barged through the defensive line after 10 minutes and despite almost losing his balance due to a harsh tackle, he still managed to squeeze the ball in. 0 - 1 was the new score for the visiting team. The away team's Smile Dushkovski took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 13 minutes, increasing kopuci's lead to 0 - 2. After 19 minutes, while the home crowd was busy discussing who parked their vehicle in the wrong spot, Tomislav Konstantinovski charged up the middle and forced the keeper to make one of his best saves of the day. After 20 minutes, Jasper Grignard showed signs of talent as he finished off a left wing counter-attack, making the score 1 - 2 for Jungs. After 36 minutes the teenage express Smile Dushkovski busted past Davy Brière to tuck away the 1 - 3 goal. Having successfully challenged his marker and even the goalkeeper, kopuci's Lazo Gorgievik made it into the box, and should have easily placed the ball in the unguarded goal. At the last moment, a defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball off the line. Svetozar Jotov could have made a name for himself when he, after 42 minutes, almost extended the visitors' lead with a well-placed Van Persie-like diving header after the ball looped into the middle, but the home side's keeper Joseph Verbauwen collected it. 1 - 3 was the score after 45 minutes. In this half kopuci were the most energetic, keeping the ball to themselves for 57 percent of the time.

53 minutes into the match, a well-timed pass from the left side gave Venko Mircheski of kopuci an open road to the goal. Seconds later the score was 1 - 4. Some fine maneuvering on the left led to a goal for the young kopuci side after 59 minutes, making it 1 - 5. The referee announced Svetozar Jotov as the scorer. After 66 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Tomce Ivanovski who increased kopuci's lead to 1 - 6. A slight injury to his right calf muscle meant Salim Rakham had to leave the match early. It happened after 67 minutes. Due to this disastrous turn of events, the team now had to finish the match with a reduced lineup. Smile Dushkovski could have added one to the visiting boys' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. That's all, folks! The match ends 1 - 6. kopuci, bringing their ball possession to 59 percent, seemed most ambitious today.

Jungs's Aurélien Gysels had a great game and was congratulated by his teammates. This boy could be going places! The coach took Davy Brière aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the field as long as you keep trying. The kopuci players gave Lazo Gorgievik a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Nedelko Kiroski showed he still has a lot to learn.
