C.A.T. 5 - 2 MSK

The 219 spectators at CezAron Arena were roasting in the hot sun. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. Starters: Postică - Păşculeţ, Dumea, Gâdoiu - Boroiu, Moldoveanu, Moldovan, Bobocea, Gheorghiţă - Văleanu, Ene.

The picks for today were: Parmakovski - Pallaska, Lika - Vodenicharski, Angelevski, Piskachev, Stoilovski, Efremoski - Aleksovski, Mojsovski, Davidovski.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. The home team, CezAron Team, went for a 3-5-2, while Mala Skola has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. C.A.T. will put their recent counter-attacking practice to the test in today's game. MSK displayed their ability to play creatively. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but the indirect free kick attempt by C.A.T. after 16 minutes was easily sniffed out by the defenders. That was a textbook example of how to defend a free kick - the attackers were left with no real options. Dan Gheorghiţă seemed a man among boys in that aerial challenge, following Rareş-Andrei Ene's corner kick. He rose high to head home, and it's 1 - 0 after 18 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the match, the visitors' defenders misjudged the movements of C.A.T.'s Eugen Moldovan through the middle, leaving him undisturbed in front of their keeper. At this point, the 2 - 0 goal was just a formality. C.A.T. congratulated themselves after increasing their lead to 3 - 0. Adi Dumea came running from the right side and didn't stop until he was standing inside the goal with the ball. 30 minutes into the match, C.A.T.'s Sebastian Văleanu tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. A few visiting spectators had momentarily dozed off, but as Boris Davidovski scored the reducing 3 - 1 goal after 31 minutes, they jumped to their feet again. MSK had used the right flank to set up that goal. It was 3 - 1 at the break. In this half C.A.T. were the most energetic, keeping the ball to themselves for 62 percent of the time.

C.A.T.'s Paul-Călin Bobocea showed some of his reported potential with that goal. It's 4 - 1 due to a clinical finish after a pass through the middle that even impressed some of the senior squad players that showed up here today. MSK's Bozho Aleksovski showed a cool head there, anticipating a rebounding ball perfectly on the edge of the box, then striking it hard and low through the crowd and past the keeper. 4 - 2. C.A.T.'s Sebastian Văleanu was the happiest boy in town after the 5 - 2 goal, having seen his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net. The assist had come in from his friend out on the right wing. C.A.T.'s Paul-Călin Bobocea looked like he would seal the deal, but his rush down the middle after 80 minutes was stopped by a defender just as he was about to get a shot off. The match ends with a 5 - 2 scoreline. C.A.T. pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

The C.A.T. players gave Paul-Călin Bobocea a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Petrică Păşculeţ showed he still has a lot to learn. The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy on MSK today had been Bozho Aleksovski. On the other hand, the level of play may have been too high for Edon Lika.
