It had rained all day, but 29000 hardy fans still made it out to Bátaszéki Városi Stadion. Anthony Follet was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Elias Pohti and . Cry "havoc" and let loose the dogs of war! Bátaszék will go to battle in a 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: López - Nicolas, Derks, Temonen - Madeja, Piegza, Isler, Silfwerhall, Weijola - Rešek, Fernández Larrinoa.

Gentlemen prefer blondes and Csillagok prefers a 4-5-1. Let's see how this plays out for them. The following players took the field: Araoz - Vlaszák, Racevičius, Szilágyi, Montvai - de Carvalho, Avelar, Pieron, Barreira, Wittich - Turpin.

Today, Csillagok's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their supernatural ability. Bátaszék had a good opportunity to take the lead as Bartosz Madeja came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Javier Araoz. Bátaszék had a chance to take the lead after Tobias Silfwerhall's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled away as his shot went just over the bar with 6 minutes played. Valdemar de Carvalho didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the field in spite of the rain. The referee showed Csillagok's Ádám Szilágyi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Bátaszék's Slavko Rešek went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. The visitors' central defense should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Paul Isler, but the Bátaszék player managed to shrug them off and fire a low shot that 5-holed the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Ádám Szilágyi of Csillagok got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. After 23 minutes, Slavko Rešek put Bátaszék ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. With 27 minutes played, Csillagok's Ádám Vlaszák received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. It was 2 - 0 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Bátaszék, with an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.

47 minutes into the game, Deimantas Racevičius replied with a fantastic free kick. The ball went in off the bottom of the bar to make it 2 to 1. With 53 minutes played, the Csillagok coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Jos Lehner came on and István Montvai had to leave the fray. Things were going from bad to worse for the visitors. Tobias Silfwerhall was able to squirm through the central defense after 54 minutes and score, bringing the lead to 3 - 1. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Csillagok's João Pedro Barreira finally got himself booked for a foul. Balázs Wittich was uncomfortable with the soggy field as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. As the game started to slip away for Csillagok, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. The Bátaszék players could smell victory in the air. William Derks wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Tuomas Muurikka after 65 minutes. Slavko Rešek had put in a good 70 minutes and left the field with a smile on his face due to his team's lead. Raivo Roosaare was the replacement. 74 minutes had passed when Bátaszék put themselves up 4 - 1 after the visiting defenders lost the ball to Artur Piegza, who came up from the left and proceeded to easily go around the goalkeeper and knock the ball home. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 75 minutes on the clock after Tobias Silfwerhall's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Bátaszék player a yellow card though. Unfortunately for Csillagok, Jos Lehner was injured as the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Eugen Vlad replaced him. Bátaszék's Raivo Roosaare was delighted to score as he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing keeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing. 5 - 1 after 83 minutes. Bátaszék did a good job holding on to the ball, with 52 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

Most important Bátaszék player was Raivo Roosaare. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Wenceslao López today. Csillagok's best player was Balázs Wittich. Speaking of stinking up the place, Eugen Vlad sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. The match ends 5 - 1.
