Clear skies welcomed the 29589 spectators who had made their way to Gárdonyi Park. Manuel Martinovic was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daniel Svensson and Domingo Marini. Lineup: Stark - Gulyás, Fishfeld, Zamuda - Andreoletti, Sharpe, Palmen, Montagut, Hankó - Boquet, Murgades.

The following players had been selected: Hazal - Murer, Favasuli, Greiner, Lembrău - Babati, Bálint, Innenstadt, Kießling - Cinza, Tömöri.

Egri Csillagok FC trundled out to the pitch in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Netfort United, chose to start the game with a 4-4-2 lineup. Today, Csillagok's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their world class ability. Netfort took the lead after 11 minutes making the score 0 - 1. The keeper had no chance on Hugo Filipe Cinza's fine volley fromleft of the net after a cross from the right. Lóránt Babati increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 2. After 36 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Hugo Filipe Cinza who increased Netfort's lead to 0 - 3. After 42 minutes, Netfort's Edgar Murer burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Netfort had 56...56 percent possession. AH AH AH!

After 46 minutes, Csillagok substituted Elmo Sharpe for Holm Kerbach, hoping for a quick impact on the field. Netfort's Cătălin Lembrău was shown a yellow card after 53 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Netfort's Hugo Filipe Cinza wanted to play on, but after 70 minutes the decision was made to give Armin Hoellebrand-Palkovic a chance in his place. Edgar Murer somehow managed to break free of his man on the left wing and only needed a relatively easy finish to bring Netfort's lead up to 0 - 5. Players in Csillagok heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Csillagok's Victorien Boquet found himself alone on the left side 78 minutes into the match and launched a marshmallow of a shot - right into the arms of the keeper. What a turkey! The away team's fans are gobbling it up! Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 79 minutes on the clock after Konrad Greiner's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Netfort player a yellow card though. Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Holm Kerbach limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 79 minutes for his team this day. Ákos Zselénszkytried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. The home fans looked somber as they watched their team give up another goal, this one coming from their right as Benedek Tömöri put one through the keeper's legs. 0 - 6 after 85 minutes. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 6. Netfort did a good job holding on to the ball, with 56 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

Csillagok's top performer was clearly Victorien Boquet. Good thing Ákos Zselénszky isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. Most important Netfort player was Benedek Tömöri. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Levent Hazal today.
