360 spectators arrived at Fortín de Berisso Re Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for soccer. Christian Poulsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Radboud Dudok and Mel Harte. The following players took the field: McIndoe - Vergnani, Oliver, Rezza, Mihajlović - Jongenelen, Bolotaev, Guendulain, Sekutnicki - Navia, Palacio.

They fielded: Duszenko - Julie, San Claudio, Francella - Spataro, Ram de Liñan, Giavedonni, Mali - Frappampina, Tidona, Pascucci.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. The home team, Fortín de Berisso Reload, went for a 4-4-2, while La V Azulada has decided to play a 3-4-3 lineup. Today, Azulada's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their supernatural ability. Proving that a foot massage and a pre-game pedicure can work wonders, Valeriy Bolotaev sent a rocket into the box from the corner, finding Alejandro Navia, who headed it past the keeper with extreme prejudice. 3 minutes in and it's 1 - 0! Berisso solidified their lead at the 6 minute mark, as Alberto Guendulain snaked the ball through the central line of defense and finished for 2 - 0. Azulada managed to reduce their deficit as Einari Mali finished off a well-played combination from the left, easily carving through the home team's defense after 18 minutes. Halftime score was 2 - 1. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Berisso, with an impressive 60 percent possession of the ball.

A corner kick created massive confusion in the penalty area, with a near-goal by Eligio Oliver. At last, Berisso's Danilo Rezza was able to will the ball into the net. 3 - 1. Given a free kick from a ways out after 69 minutes, Berisso sent an arching ball into the penalty box. It was headed clear, but Danilo Rezza was waiting just outside the area and fired it home to make it 4 - 1. Azulada fought on, and after 80 minutes, Martín Giavedonni was able to increase the goal tally to 4 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with a smart lob. Berisso's Alejandro Navia saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates 82 minutes in. Azulada's Jonathan Federico Francella was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 84 minutes. The fourth official announced that there would be 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 4 - 2. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Berisso would have 56 percent possession in this half was spot on!

The most outstanding Berisso player was without a doubt Hari Palacio. Good thing Danilo Rezza isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. Antonio Gerardo Frappampina performed admirably for Azulada. I can't remember Vincenzo Pascucci ever having a worse night than he just had.
