Weather conditions were fairly good for soccer, and Fortin de Locos saw a turnout of 1498. Bruce Oblitas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daithi White and Alojzije Vučeraković. Lineup: Prasinos - Muhlbeier, De Pasquale, Nowak, Həsənov, Gillilan - Muskała, Mpampasakos, Klüver, Straszyński - Fontova.

They fielded: Aranda - Gorojod, Alvarez, Andrioli, Tuhladzhiev, Daneri - Napia, Fraser, Albiero, Ferroggiaro - Shehata.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 5-4-1 formation today. azul_v went for a narrow approach, using their magnificent ability to focus their attacks down the middle. Svetoslav Tuhladzhiev went down after twisting his left ankle after 23 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. The replacement for the injured player was Fernando Gorostegui. After 28 minutes, azul_v sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Stefan Nowak, who had plenty of time to shoot and score - 1 - 0. With 31 minutes played, azul_v's Christopher Gillilan received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. After 31 minutes, Santiago Gorojod took a hard knock between his legs. He needed a long breather but were eventually able to continue the game. A run up the right wing paid off for Dragones as Reno Andrioli hit a wicked shot past the keeper to tie the game. 1 - 1 after 36 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Dragones, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.

Dragones's coach was furious with Reno Andrioli after he picked up a yellow for saying one too many words to the ref. 81 minutes into the game, Dragones seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. Still tied after 91 minutes, the match continued into extra time. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Dragones had 54...54 percent possession. AH AH AH!

During the break, Dragones's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organization. Dragones's Mustafa Shehata was a tricksy little hobbit and made poor Stefan Nowak look like he had lost his precious. Turns out the precious was in the back of the net - 1 - 2! azul_v needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 92 minutes Christopher Gillilan made way for Vavrinec Tulaj. The bench was restless, and with 93 minutes gone azul_v's coach gave George Teşcu the opportunity to try to change the team's fortunes. Franklin Muhlbeier reluctantly left the field. 103 minutes in, Dragones appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only solid. A foul called during a Dragones counter-attack resulted in a great chance to score, but Alessio Albiero's shot rattled off the post. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot from the right by Danilo Evaristo Alvarez beat the keeper with 111 minutes played, preventing Dragones from going up another goal. The match ends 1 - 2. Most important azul_v player was Lars Klüver. I can't remember Vavrinec Tulaj ever having a worse night than he just had. The most outstanding Dragones player was without a doubt Fernando Gorostegui. Speaking of stinking up the place, Santiago Gorojod sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
