12000 spectators arrived at Stamford Bridge, where weather conditions were pretty good for soccer. Jan Dyk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by José Gil Rosa e Cunha and Mats Månsson. Starters: Dhotre - Jodha, Sahu, Shilarkar, Babar - Churi, Tayyab, Mane, Gowitrikar - Chhetri, Soibam.

The following players had been selected: Peddireddy - Shah, Corvino - Lips, Panashikar, Ghosh, Bonala, Qidwai - Thargye, Reddy, Naidu.

Mumbai Dazzlers trundled out to the pitch in a 4-4-2 formation. The visitors, Ghungharu FC, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. After 11 minutes, Ghungharu put themselves up 0 - 1, as Hari 'Potter' Naidu finished off a play from the left with a real rocket. Hiresh Ghosh increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Pratik Jodha went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 32, but was able to continue the match nonetheless. That ball had all kinds of swerve! The home keeper was rooted in place 33 minutes into the match as Bernardo Corvino's unstoppable free kick whizzed by him, making the scoreline even worse for his fans. 0 - 3. The home team's task just got even harder after Bernardo Corvino buried the penalty kick. Ghungharu lead 0 - 4 after 36 minutes. A thrilling play through the middle after 37 minutes gave Ghungharu's Sunil Reddy a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 0 - 5. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Ghungharu set the tempo, maintaining 75 percent of possession.

Ghungharu's Hari 'Potter' Naidu received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 50 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 6. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! With 58 minutes played, Ghungharu's Ansar Qidwai received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Dazzlers's Amul Churi refused to leave the field despite hurting his back 59 minutes into the match. With the scoreboard showing that 64 minutes had been played, Ghungharu nearly put themselves up another goal after Sunil Reddy came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The away team's Ansar Qidwai took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 70 minutes increasing Ghungharu's lead to 0 - 7. The visitors' Sunil Reddy took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 74 minutes into the match. 0 - 8 for Ghungharu. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 beyond the regular 90 minutes. Some fine one-twos on the left led to a Ghungharu goal with 90 minutes gone, making it 0 - 9. Hari 'Potter' Naidu was noted down as the scorer. One, two, three goals! That completed a hattrick for Hari 'Potter' Naidu. AH! AH! AH! The match ends 0 - 9. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Ghungharu, with an impressive 79 percent possession of the ball.

Most important Dazzlers player was Swaminathan Gowitrikar. Speaking of stinking up the place, Uttamesh Dhotre sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Sunil Reddy performed admirably for Ghungharu. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Bernardo Corvino seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
