SCK 1 - 1 Kolitovia

Weather conditions were fairly good for soccer, and Arena Kielce saw a turnout of 20693. Ragnvald Tórsheim was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mo'taz 'Homegrown' Al-Agel and Barak Rozen. The following players took the field: Răducan - Verbelen, Sequeira, Vilerts, Mola - Kiknadze, Popović, Fernández Mediavilla - Gorják, Ahola, Plain.

The following players had been selected: Aktaş - Sztandarski, Pellicer, Gąsiorowski, Pereira, Bull - Shkurichev, Stoynev, Boucherit, Kahrizaki - Buturić.

Scyzory Kielce started the game in a 4-3-3 formation, whereas FC Kolitovia lined up in a 5-4-1. It was an obvious ambition of SCK to play a wide game with their supernatural ability to attack down the wings. Kolitovia's Krešimir Buturić proved that he's been around on a soccer field before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the enemy defensive line and elegantly scored for 0 - 1. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, SCK's Giovanni Mola finally got himself booked for a foul. A slight injury to his left calf muscle meant Giovanni Mola had to leave the match early. It happened after 28 minutes. The player that took his place was Diamantis Diasakos. After the ball was lifted in from the left, Arian Kahrizaki was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 30 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Attacking on the wings was the theme of the day for SCK, and they were successfully passing the ball outside from the middle. No matter how hard he tried, Diamantis Diasakos just couldn't get past the visitors' right side defense 31 minutes in and eventually the ball was cleared away. With 33 minutes played, Kolitovia's Arian Kahrizaki received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Kolitovia did a good job holding on to the ball, with 53 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

Krešimir Buturić came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but his attempted chip over Eduard Răducan just kept rising and landed in the relieved crowd. SCK's Daniel Plain showed his experience after 69 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was punched harmlessly out of the way. Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Krešimir Buturić limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 83 minutes for his team this day. The replacement for the injured player was Kazimierz Krukar. The Kolitovia captaincy was handed to Arian Kahrizaki. Players in SCK heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. 85 minutes into the match, SCK's Jukka Ahola maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 1 - 1. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Kolitovia had 54...54 percent possession. AH AH AH!

The most outstanding SCK player was without a doubt Jukka Ahola. Good thing Daniel Plain isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. Kolitovia's best player was Royce Bull. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Radomir Sztandarski today.
