It had rained all day, but 12286 hardy fans still made it out to DalmaygianninaFC Arena. Romain Chevaux was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Floricã Ungureanu and Krassimir Markov. The pitch was a disaster, due to all the rain. This spelled problems for the more sophisticated players, who usually could rely on speed or technique. For those relying on grit and strength, it actually meant an edge. People from all over Provincia de Buenos Aires had joined up for the rivalry game. Lineup: Pouille - Luna, Elgaard, Braghieri - Guérard, Enfes, Domas, Guarrat, Dombald - Peyras, Orán.

The following players took the field: Frişan - Casamassima, MacWilkin, Tillier, 丹海 (Danhai), Auerhahn - Heidbrenner, Bandeira, Biderman - Facciolo, Rempała.

DalmaygianninaFC started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas O2H lined up in a 5-3-2. It was obvious, dreadfully boring, and yet tantalizingly effective, to see DalmaygianninaFC using their inadequate pressing skills as their primary tactic. O2H took the lead after 39 minutes making the score 0 - 1. The keeper had no chance on Edwin Rempała's fine volley fromleft of the net after a cross from the right. The referee showed DalmaygianninaFC's Juan Angel Dombald the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The look on Cornelius Frişan in minute 41 said it all: Not again. With his right thigh tightly bandaged, he had to leave the match for the day. Oscar Alberto Pasquinitried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. O2H did a good job holding on to the ball, with 58 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

Some fine one-twos on the left led to a O2H goal with 50 minutes gone, making it 0 - 2. 李 (Li) 丹海 (Danhai) was noted down as the scorer. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, O2H's Leif Auerhahn finally got himself booked for a foul. The crowd's chants of support turned to grumbles when David Guérard's penalty attempt went well wide of the mark. With 70 minutes played, the DalmaygianninaFC coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Jeen De Valck came on and David Guérard had to leave the fray. As David Guérard left the field, the coach signaled to Kristen Elgaard to be the new set pieces taker. Yaniv Biderman somehow managed to break free of his man on the left wing and only needed a relatively easy finish to bring O2H's lead up to 0 - 3. The visitors' Cassio Facciolo took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 76 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for O2H. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The ball was in the back of the home team's net yet again after 90 minutes, but this time the referee called the goal back because Cassio Facciolo had knocked a member of the opposing team to the ground while the play occurred down the middle of the field. The match ends 0 - 4. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that O2H would have 59 percent possession in this half was spot on!

DalmaygianninaFC's best player was Kévin Peyras. Good thing Jérémy Pouille isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. Edwin Rempała performed admirably for O2H. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Leif Auerhahn today.
