SCS 4 - 2 DKvD

Clouds darkened the skies at Schanzenpark as 1214 spectators turned up for the match. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vincentis Morgevičius and . The head coach flashed hand signals from the sideline and SCS formed up in a 3-5-2 combination. Let's hope the opposing sideline wasn't filming that. The following players took the field: Volarević - Ollonen, Hammer, Manzano - Olsson, Schwendner, Hadad, Gayrat Uulu, Samh - Datsenko, Basset.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, DKvD decided to go with a 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Fernández de Córdoba - Fischer, Therrien, Zamir, Lastra - Danko, Thuemmler, Tissari, Heiðmarsson - Adorf, Ederberg.

Like the adage "bend but don't break", DKvD will rely on their extra-terrestrial ability to counter-attack today. Leonid Datsenko will have Excedrin Headache number 5 after heading home the hard corner kick from Mousa Hadad after 9 minutes of play. I'm sure that making the score 1 - 0 will assuage him a bit, though. With 26 minutes played, Jalil Samh could have brought this one home for SCS as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. DKvD showed their counter-attacking skill 27 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Nick Danko scoring an easy goal for 1 - 1. DKvD's Reinhard Adorf rushed past his defender and should have scored, but the finish was just wide, taking some paint off the post as it went out. A poorly positioned wall on a free kick after 41 minutes allowed for DKvD's Mehmet Zamir to give the visitors the 1 - 2 lead. After 43 minutes, Hendrik Schwendner went down looking for a penalty after a challenge on the left side of the box, but the referee told him to get up and keep playing. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that SCS had 60...60 percent possession. AH AH AH!

After 68 minutes of play, Leonid Datsenko evened things up for SCS with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. The 71 minute mark saw the home team take a 3 - 2 lead after a breaking through on the left. The scorer for SCS was Leonid Datsenko. That was his third goal of the match - a hattrick for Leonid Datsenko! That's the name of the game! The score became 4 - 2 with 78 minutes played, when SCS were given a penalty. Mousa Hadad made no mistake and increased the home lead. The SCS coach was happy with the scoreline, but still wanted to change the lineup. After 89 minutes, Arthur Giry came on for Miska Ollonen. Jean-Jacques 'JJ.' Basset had put in a good 89 minutes and left the field with a smile on his face due to his team's lead. Karsten Sternschanze was the replacement. Arthur Giry became the new SCS captain. SCS set the tempo, maintaining 59 percent of possession.

The most outstanding SCS player was without a doubt Mousa Hadad. I can't remember Arthur Giry ever having a worse night than he just had. Most important DKvD player was Pör Ederberg. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Reynaldo Fernández de Córdoba today. The match ends 4 - 2.
