Oman took my heart

Hello, I am Ermo from Estonia. In this article I will explain my commitment with Oman. Or am I just selfishly using this community? This article is written because I made a deal with OmaniMilani - I'll write to Oman's Press and he'll write to Estonian Hattrick Press.

My story began in spring 2009. I was a GM and I met young Hattrick staff member Assim. I had time and energy for more duties. Late in April Assim asked me to join Oman Federation.

I liked what I saw - a well organized young HT community. I actually read through all your forum with just a few days. Word by word! I was enthusiastic. When I introduced myself in the Oman federation, I used this sentence:

I'm here to help Oman and learn more about how national teams work.

So this is where my selfishness began. I was after my own interests (though I never even thought of putting Oman's interests in second place).

I tried to help with tactics, I told my opinion if there were discussions, I joined Project Oman. I felt that I was accepted. But the good times ended when I had to go back to the university in september.

I am both studying and working full time. I didn't have time to follow all the spy threads any more, I didn't have time to follow player transfers, not to speak about scouting etc.

But I still watched the matches, read the forums, participated in the chit-chat. To think of it, doesn't it sound selfish that I have lot's of fun here, but I don't give much back to the community?

For the last year or so I have thought that there will be time I can help Oman again, really get involved scouting and spying etc. But now I joined masters program in the university and it'll take years to graduate. And I really don't feel worthy being a member of this wonderful small community.

Maybe, just maybe you appreciate my emotions, maybe you like this article, maybe you would pat me on the shoulder for training Yaqthan Faris Al-Hamimy (250054183) alongside future Estonian national team players. Yaqthan Faris Al-Hamimy is not a potential national team star. But, hey, top teams of Oman need good players too, right ;) He is my first foreign trainee over a long time though!

I hope to see you around!

Greetings,

ermpson
