What happened to BAYERN OMAN in HT was just like what we read about and watch on TV about struggling stories.

I know and I am sure that there are greater stories in HT but I am sharing mine specially to some HT Oman managers who gave up or close to do so, or became disappointed about their luck at HT.

Hello HT People,
In this first show for me in Oman Press, I would like to share my HT experience with you.

When I joined HT on 20, Sep 2006 .. I didn't think that my way is going to be as hard as it was! Because BAYERN OMAN was one of the first teams at HT Oman, I thought BAYERN OMAN will be one of the best two or three teams immediately.

What happened to BAYERN OMAN in HT was just like what we read about and watch on TV about struggling stories. I know and I am sure that there are greater stories in HT but I am sharing mine specially to some HT Oman managers who gave up or close to do so, or became disappointed about their luck at HT.

At the first season all teams were in 2nd league, there was no first league yet. The target of BAYERN OMAN at that season was to qualify to the first league but at the same league (II.2) there was BAYERN OMAN and Muechande (The strongest team in HT Oman History). BAYERN OMAN had finished as runner up that season after Muechande with 10 points difference. Oman FC (team of Assim) was in the same league with us at first season.

After that disappointing season for BAYERN OMAN because we'll have to play another season at II.2, and we'll not compete for the first league title at its first time. I thought that BAYERN OMAN is going to finish as champion of II.2 and will flay to the first league this time!
But a new strong team showed up which was Demon Empire and they were II.2 champions because of goal difference with BAYERN OMAN. So, we had to wait for another season to make it to first league.

At the third season BAYERN OMAN won the league II.2 and reached the first league!
I thought that BAYERN OMAN is going to be a first league team for the rest of their life and the time for glory has arrived. But BAYERN OMAN finished that season as 5th team and losed the qualification match to return back to the 2nd league and I remember that I had to write something after that shock , So I wrote the this announcement:

After 3 seasons in II.2, BAYERN OMAN made it to Al-DAWRY AL-OMANI....

But, yesterday we return back to the 2nd league...it was just like the romantic movie: ((Down to you))

Anyway, we enjoyed to be in the first league..we liked that...and we're going to do our best to reach it again...

But until that, I must say..

Congratulations MANUTD4EVER...

and I'm waiting to face my new opponent: FC Ribery....

After season 5, I realized that the competition of being one of the best two or three teams won't be easy for BAYERN OMAN because its a 2nd league team for 4 seasons out of 5!!

Then I had to give the team realistic targets, we had to live away from our real goal at that period of time .. we had to satisfy, enjoy and live another five seasons at second league!
BAYERN OMAN finished seasons 5 as 2nd, season6 as 1st, season 7 as 1st, season 8 as 2nd and season 9 as 2nd.
As it's shown, the team could won the league two times but couldn't won the qualification match to reach the first league . Yes, BAYERN OMAN wasn't lucky!
Season 10 came and BAYERN OMAN still at the second league. But we could finish that season as champion of our league. Then it was this announcement:

Back to lights..
After being six seasons in the 2nd division, BAYERN OMAN is Back!!

This time it will not be a visit to the first league (Al-Dawry Al-Omani) BUT our goal is to be A FIRST LEAGUE TEAM for the coming few seasons. And so our best to reach the TOP as soon as possible.

Actually that announcement was two seasons ago!
BAYERN OMAN could play great matches that season (season 11) , it was very close to finish that season as 2nd ranked team .. But at the last stages, BAYERN OMAN loosed that positions with 2 points difference.

But that performance for BAYERN OMAN didn't come by luck only (although Luck is part of the game indeed) there were a lot of work behind that successful season. Almost two seasons before that season, we had made a long term plan .. The plan coincides with a similar plan by FC Royal Blues (both teams studied the general aspects of the long term plan tighter) BAYERN OMAN had announced about that plan in an Arabic Press showed the primary goals of the plan which was to be one of the best four teams in Oman in 4 seasons!!

We were lucky more than FC Royal Blues, because they had a very strong competition in II.4, they always had to play Qualification matches with better teams. But their team rating is almost one of the best four teams in Oman now.
So, what happened was that BAYERN OMAN came to first league at season 11 .. with the first appearing results of the long term plan and we could get that successful season as I mentioned.

Let's continue the events and later I'll focus on the tiny details that made the difference.

Then, at season 12, BAYERN OMAN made a very amazing season. The team was the cup runner up, and the first league champion until the last 7 minutes of the season (at min 83 of the last week match of season 12 , a goal forced BAYERN OMAN to stay away from the title to the great Muechande).

After that season it was clear that BAYERN OMAN is the 2nd Ranked team after Muechande.

But Muechande (the league and cup champion for the last 6 seasons) decided to leave HT in season 13 .. which made the way easier for a new champions for both league and cup.
This season came (season 13) and it seems that time of Glory has arrived to BAYERN OMAN after a long struggling story.
BAYERN OMAN made the Double this season!

I know that many may wonder about this plan and how could it made a very big difference in short time? Why other teams which were at first league many seasons before BAYERN OMAN couldn't keep going up while BAYERN OMAN made the third rank at their first show, 2nd rank at league and Cup runner up at 2nd season, the Double at the third season!
Teams income is very important as we all know, but how to manage this money makes the difference. I would be happy to share my success keys with you. First of all, the team had to be lucky to have good talented players at the youth academy because in Oman we have a chance to gain a lot of money from young Omani players. Taking care of these academies is a great key but it needs a lot of patience.

Another key is to develop players by buying young players and train them some seasons to make them world class players.. Our way is to train defenders, by giving them chance to play at friendlies and easy matches to get trained.
Also, asking the experts in HT for advices made a big difference sometimes.
There is another key, which is to care about each match .. dealing with each as it deserves, putting a plan for the coming weeks when to play MOTS or PIC. Expecting the opponent line up and trying to stop their strong parts.

One more key was make an economic plan for the coming season, this key is very important for us because the previous keys are standards at HT but we in Oman don't use them as they should be.

Our economic plan for a season focuses on the team income and outcome for a whole season.. taking into consideration that the team income every week is less than what team pays specially as wages for players. For each season, we calculate and approximate payments of the team for the whole season, we see our resources of money. For example, funds, talented players to be promoted and sell at specific time, approximate arena income ,sponsors payments. Then we take a look at the fixtures of the season to decide when to sell a high wage player or when to buy another, and when do we need to full our line up with high quality players. We then do a study for that to put a fixed plan for the whole season. So the team avoids unnecessary waste of money.

My last key is HO (Hattrick Organizer) I mentioned this one at end because I started using this powerful program recently (at Season 13, cup final match).

The long term plans depend on those keys and time, once we care about these keys we're going to top faster and faster.
