And there was 8

Bolton Vs Chelsea
Arsenal Vs Manchester United
Liverpool VS Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspurs Vs Aston Villa

What? How is this happening in HT-Singapore? Read on to find out. :)

Siegmund United - Young Tigers (362831021)
Siegmund has been on a roll this season. Going 8-0-0 in league and beating all challengers ahead of them in the cup. Their team is versatile, playing formations from 5-2-3 to 3-4-3 to 3-5-2.

Their main strength is their versatility thus leading to an unpredictable match up. This causes headache for their would be opponent. Their main weakness is a relatively weaker midfield, and they haven't put out a mean CA yet.

In EPL terms we will call them Bolton (of old)

Young Tigers on the other hand has a bad start to the league. However, they have managed to recover from that to go on a winning streak. With their form and their desire to go for the cup (changing a new coach) they will be aiming for a win.

Their main strength is a strong spine from defense to attack. Their main weakness is they generally ignore one wing and their lack of flexibility.

In EPL terms we will call them Chelsea.

CharlesCheesePie - Tanglin Winners FC (362831022)
Charles Cheese Pie is a midfield monster. Their favourite formation seems to be 2-5-3 with the occasional 3-5-2 thrown in(and even with a CA!). Their favourite food is Cheese Pies.

Their main strength is a dominating midfield(especially at home) coupled with a mean attack. Their main weakness is that once you get past that midfield, it's like taking pot shots at goal

In EPL terms we will call them Arsenal

Tanglin Winners is a team that's built from the back. They alternate frequently between 4-5-1 and 3-5-2. They seem to be focusing on the cup as they have given weak resistance to IoF in the league in the past 2 matches.

Their main strength is a solid defense, coupled with good wing attacks. Their main weakness is a lack of bite in their attack.

In EPL terms we will call them Manchester United

Shining Lights - Robbie Football Club (362831023)
Shining Lights had a lucky win last week against KTH, though a case can be made that they made their own luck. Pushing for midfield(and still losing it) and getting 1 side attack while being behind was a gutsy move. More often than not it will result in a team losing by an even greater score. This time they got their lucky break.

They have no obvious strength or weakness with most of their ratings roughly equal(though not too high). They might turn up with a decent CA or with a midfield grab. It's hard to tell. Luck or managerial skill. It's hard to tell too.

In EPL terms we will call them Liverpool

Robbie Football Club
A team with 2 NT midfielder in their team is scary. When those 2 midfielders are in excellent form, it is horrifying. When those 2 midfielders are flanked by 2 wannabe national midfielders, it spells doom.

Their main strength is obviously their midfield and a very scary central attack. Their weakness seems to be a lack of plan B when faced with a team that parks the bus. Sometimes they break through, sometimes they don't.

In EPL terms we will call them Manchester City.

Arrogancae - Pudgy Penguins (362831024)
The current NT vs the EX NT coach is the match of the round for me. Arrogancae in this case plays any formation as long as there's 5 midfielders in it. 4-5-1, 3-5-2, 2-5-3. You name it he plays it.

Their main strength is having a good defense while keeping a good midfield and having a dominating wing. Their weakness is thus they lack bite often in other aspects of their attack.

In EPL terms we will call them Tottenham Hotspurs.

Pudgy Penguins also plays any formation as long as there's 5 midfielders in it. 4-5-1, 3-5-2, 2-5-3. You name it he plays it. There seems to be a trend or a passing of tactics from the ex NT manager to the current. Or maybe that's why they are both NT managers.

Their main strength is having a really scary defense and CA especially with fast breaks on the wings. Their weakness is that even with 5 in the centre, they still have a soft centre in midfield and attack.

In EPL terms we will call them Aston Villa (before they sold their wingers. LOL)

I couldn't find good examples of teams that fit the strength and weaknesses I came up with. Any suggestions by readers would be greatly appreciated! :)
