[Second Teams] Interview with Ro_mic

Ro_mic (1791477) comes from Spain and plays in Division III there with his Winterfell Winners.
He is an experienced and skilled coach who has built one of the most powerful 2nd team in Ireland in these days, Victoriosos d'Hivèrnia (281537).
After some seasons growing slowly, he started to climb up the division and played the Cup seriously, and those who met him lately were surely defeated.

Keep your friends close, but your sunday opponents closer.
So, it is time to highlight him, ask few questions and spy this dangerous Spanish-Irish.

Ro_mic and the Victoriosos d'Hivèrnia (281537) started in Ireland in Season 39 week 16, as many 2nd teamers.
He played 3 seasons in Division V and he his now 1st of his 4th series (8778), undefeated, and reached the 5th round in national Cup, lost against TALLAGHTVILLA.

With more than 350 hatstats during his game, he might be a serious challenger in Division III next season and in Cup games.
Until this time, let's know a bit more about him.

Filooo-Poulidor : Could you please introduce yourself?
Ro_mic : Hi, I'm Roger and I'm from Catalonia. I'm born in 1972 and I play HT since 2004, like my first son's birth. I love football and football manager games... if I could have more time I will play more, but the large family and my work (civil engineering) don't let me enough time. I'm happy to play Futbol 7 with a domestic team, one game a week, less than HT.

Filooo-Poulidor : Your teams logos and names are inspired from Games of Thrones, have you read all the books? In that case could you just shut your mouth about how it ends? If not, why did you chose the realm that burned? Dragons aren't cool enough?
Ro_mic : Yes, My team name is inspiring from 'Game of Thrones'. I read the first book and I follow the tv series (now 4th season).
I like very much this topic and I chose Winterfell before it was burned, I hope that in the end Winterfell will be a nice place.
I have to say that before Winterfell Winner my name was Michigan, because I spent a summer in 1989 :-) very simple.

Filooo-Poulidor : Why chose a 2nd team in Ireland and why Donegal? Are you connected with locals there?
Ro_mic : I was in Spanish NT staff group where some users chose Ireland to play with 2nd team. I doubted between Scotland and England but at the end, I preferred stay with them and commented the Ireland competitions. Donegal, I don't know this place, I wanted a little regions, better for the cup, and I looked in the north, like Winterfell.

Filooo-Poulidor : How do you interact with the community?
Ro_mic : I chose an English language country to practice English and interact with the community, but at the moment I haven't enough time to write, I've read the cup topic but, no more. I hope to have more time and share some concerns.

Filooo-Poulidor : What is your long term plan for your 2nd team? What were your first moves as coach of a new team based upon your experience in Spain and then your choices to reach such ratings and results ?
Ro_mic : My goal is to try to win the cup because that is very difficult, but I will try for 2 or 3 seasons. First objective was to make cash, once I've passed the 10M I went to buy a veteran team to contest the Cup in the most strong possible, and here I am.

Filooo-Poulidor : What are your targets this season and the next one?
Ro_mic : This season I will try to win my group IV and get a better Cup ranking for the next season and get a best paper in the Cup.

Filooo-Poulidor : What are the main differences with your home country/first team? Is it more fun to play directly starting in DV than to have to climb the first very low division as you have to in Spain?
Ro_mic : In Ireland there are much less users than Spain and so competition level is lower. This allows to win a tittle without having a team out of range. In addition to the experience it was easier to get money to build a winning team.

Filooo-Poulidor : Do you believe that you will be the first to reach the Premier?
Ro_mic : No, to reach the Premier is not my goal. Hopefully the first foreigner to win the cup ;-)

Filooo-Poulidor : Without the red card in this game, do you think that you shall have passed? (482311141)
Ro_mic : This game was well planned. The rival was very strong but he was confided and without the expulsion, I was the favorite to win it.
Once I got my 10, the game was more balanced and still had chances to win it, but it failed.

Filooo-Poulidor : What is your feeling about the latest changes in the game? Do you think it involves more strategical choice from the manager or does it reduces the choices, as we can't chose all of the specialists anymore for example?
Ro_mic : The evolution of the game is good, there are changes better than others, but in general, they are interesting.

Filooo-Poulidor : If you were a developer working at Malmö on HT ... what would be your first suggestion to improve your experience of the game?
Ro_mic : I suppose there are many people that one day we would watch the games with players moving. But I think we are far from this event.

The interview took place between the 27th May and 10th June 2014.
Thanks a lot to Ro_mic to have found the time to kindly share this interview with us in Oscar Wilde language.
