HUT Ke-20 hattrick: Wawancara dengan indocen (Blok M)

Untuk memperingati ulang tahun yang ke-20 hattrick.org (HT) pada tanggal 30 Agustus 2017 ini, kami para Editor sedunia menggagas usulan untuk mewawancarai para pengguna. Memang tidak setiap pengguna yang kami wawancarai, kami membatasi memberikan wawancara kepada 30 orang pengguna terlama yang masih aktif sampai saat ini.

Saya francesto, selaku Editor di Indonesia, ikut serta dalam gelaran akbar ini dan mengirimkan draft wawancara melalui ht-mail kepada 30 orang pengguna tersebut. Meskipun tidak semua pengguna membalas ht-mail saya, tetapi lebih dari setengahnya memberikan respon positif dengan menjawab wawancara tersebut. Saya sangat berterimakasih atas hal tersebut.

Dari ketigapuluh orang terpilih tersebut, ternyata ada seorang Warga Negara Asing berkebangsaan Swedia yang memilih Indonesia sebagai "home-base"-nya. Dan inilah hasil wawancara kami...

francesto (F): Your user name: indocen (84913). Why do use that name?
indocen (I): Just thought of it... Indo is for Indonesia for sure, rest I dont know.

F: Blok M is your team name. Is it any story about it? Why did you choose this country? Are you connected to it somehow (RL or HT)?
I: I was in Jakarta on a trip with a friend, he got sick and had to stay in hotel for few days. Only place to do the days alone was in the shoppingmall "Blok M" nearby, so I sat there in an internetcafé most of the time. It was April 2002.

F: How did you learn about Hattrick?
I: I owned an internetcafé in Sweden from 1997-2008 and lots of guys there played "Hattrick", it’s a Swedish game.. I think I had my first team (in year) 2000 called SITE, but that later disappeared.

F: Did you have a mentor at the beginning of your career to help and guide you through the first steps of running your team?
I: Yes, some of the guys in the internetcafé helped me..

F: Tell us how it's a normal day in HT. Currently. :)
I: Dont do much. Log in some times a week and see to that I can play next game.
Sometimes I’m active as hell and buy players etc... some times not... Thats the cool thing with Hattrick: You can be absent for a year and do a comeback..
I did that also with this team.. was away for a year maybe and came back..

F: Do you intend to lead the NT or the U-20 one day?
I: No... my team is enough.

F: What motivates you to continue in Hattrick after so many years?
I: I’m amazed that I continue play this game after so long time.. But also some of my friends still do it.

F: How do you deal with your expenses? Training, trading or just hoarded money from the past?
I: I use money only to buy new players when I need..

F: How much time do you spend on transfer market each day?
I: About zero..

F: In your opinion, any manager with a money bag and good hattrick knowledge can "win" the game?
I: Haha.. it’s impossible to win this game...
No, but with a lot of time and analysis you can get far... Im just not that type…

F: How do you see HT in the future? Are there any feature you would like to have developed?
I: No… Hattrick have been looking this like the beginning and thats the fun part.. its not flashy, but it works… And most fun is that it’s hard to win…

F: Let's imagine you are in charge of developing the game. Tell us what the game would look like two years from now. If possible, what two things would you change in hattrick?
I: The juniors are crap.. make it possible to grow a really good player.

F: What is your definition of "success" in HT?
I: Play in a league with small amout of people.. Like I did with Indonesia.

F: Homegrown. What do you think of the homegrown bonus? How much would you include homegrown players into your strategy, what are the pros and cons? Please discuss.
I: You mean juniors? I had a junior team, but didn’t do any success... I mean, in real life a junior can be played directly in A team… not like in hattrick when it takes forever…

F: Player's price in the market. Do you expect higher or lower player prices in the next couple of seasons? Why?
I: Prices will always rise..
