The manager of the season !

Hi, everybody, welcome to Ryad!
This is the end of season 48 in Saudi Arabia. A manager has a smile and this is Kanit0 together with his team, sport riade e benfica (1960514) - champion of Al Dawry al Montaz (48896) and finalist of the Cup. Let's find out more about it.

Can you introduce yourself ?

In a simple way: my name's André, I'm 25, portuguese and Benfica fan.

What was your career at hattrick, more precisely your story in Saudi Arabia?

My connection with Saudi Arabia started in 2010 when I received 1 vote in an unexpected NT election I decided to run just to see what would happen. That vote was the reason why I decided to stick here and offered help to the U20 coach by that time. After that, I became the U20 coach myself for 2 mandates (my first experience as national coach) and ended up creating this team here in 2013, when that possibility was added.

How did you build your team to get to the title?

This squad was started in 2014 with the presence of two U-20 Cabo Verde internationals. As I was their national coach by that time, I fell in love with them and kept training them for the NT as long-term project. Almost all these seasons I've lived for the sake of them, so just recently with my babies completely grown and by earning some money along the way I could finally start competing with the giants and had the chance to reach Al Dawry Al Momtaz last season. I must say at first I wasn't expecting to fight for this title so early, but game by game and win by win I started to believe it could become possible if I did everything right and minutely.

How do you feel before the big match against Al Nial (630466854)?

I felt a bit anxious and nervous as usual, but that's just because we never know what match engine can offer us. In normal conditions, I knew I'd have big chances to win it with the ratings I was going to show and it would be very complicated for him to stop me whatever he did.

And now? It's a beautiful day I guess...

Actually, it's raining a lot outside. :P But, yeah, it's such a great feeling to see all my work and concern paid off at least once in my HT life! This is a big achievement (my biggest one) and, of course, a moment of tremendous happiness. I hope I can live it again! :)

What were the key moments of the season?

I think the whole championship was important and I had to face every game like it was the last because in such a balanced competition even goals could matter in the end. If I really had to choose a moment, maybe I'd say the 2 games against Nial because if I hadn't won one of them I'd still be in a very complicated situation right now.

How did you manage the ts in the season?

At first it was easy to decide what to choose for each match and first Cup matches always allow us to put TS high quickly. The problems started when I MOTSed in the final for nothing and visited lioli with less TS than what I would have if I hadn't. That cost me 3 points because I got a MOTS like from nowhere and my league chances could have got compromised there too because my 3 last matches looked like the worst calendar ever. Fortunately, I could benefit from the fact saudimarakis and Nial got drawn and think "if I win next 2 matches, I won't need to care about Ruukku" (which curiously is my "black sheep" for having already stolen me 2 finals), so I decided to invest everything in the first 2 matches of those 3 by MOTSing in both and using the intensity trick in the middle. If it had gone wrong, well, I'd have to do it again but it would always be difficult anyway against a probable Ruukku's MOTS away.

What are the strengths of your team?

That's not an easy question to answer because I feel like my team is very balanced and doesn't properly have an isolated strenght or weakness. Maybe "balance and having solutions for every position" is precisely the answer to this question.
