Here we have an interview with Blanco.We will talk about his career so far with Suriname

Good day everybody.Let me introduce Blanco to you all

Blanco is the manager of the team Track United (106167)
He is currently in the IV.52 division of Belgium. He has battled hard and won his qualifier against Vigor (269797978)
Now the interview:

What was your reaction when you were elected?

Disbelief. I did not know what was happening when I saw all those visits to my team page. And on top of that all those Guestbook messages where they kept wishing me luck. Not normal. Even then I did not know why they were saying it. I got many mails with U20 Suriname as topic and then it became a bit clearer. I immediately went to the election page and I saw my name on top of the list.(with 1 vote) I then started laughing, because of the irony that I could win with 1 vote. Unbelievable actually. Quite pitiful also.

What was your goal when you decided you would go through with Suriname?

My main goal was to look out that Suriname was not going to get bad. If we look at the standings I would say that a 6th place would be nice, but secretly I was hoping to aim higher. After asking a few Surinamese and some close people I wanted to put up a decent scouting network that could be used by the U-20 coaches after me. There was a need for continuity apparently. A U-17 scouting was also invented, but there has been a separate group that is busy with that. And I also wanted a active Surinamer (and not only in case of elections!). Interaction between the Surinamese and the coach is really important. All this is very difficult but we keep trying :)

What is the lowest point in your career with Suriname?

I don’t think we really had a low point. The 5-1 loss to Belgium was not so fun, but it was expected. The luck that we had before was now against us. I still find everything very fun :)

What is the diamond in your career with Suriname?

The fact that we are doing so well. We are still the only one who has won against Moldavia who is group leader. The 1-0 win against my homeland Belgium was also very nice. Just as nice as the win against Ukraine, who are a favorite. Also the interaction in the U20 Suriname federation is fun, and I hope this will be the same in the future.
