Arumasze 3 - 2 Kew

It was a scorching day at the stadium today. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. They fielded: Jović - Vitt, Niass, Basaure - Spadło, Józefik, Kamykowski, Pruchnik, Kulpiński - Knežević, Abdul Raziq.

The following players took the field: Carval - Stoian, Çizgen, Gruescu - Beşleagă, Capră, Ploner, Bucan, Corbu - Rotella, Kim.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 3-5-2 formation. The visiting Olgun Çizgen was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 3 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Due to some great work on the right wing Arumasze's Ivo Vitt was able to even the score after 7 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. Some lightning fast two foot dribbles by Marcin Spadło left Reinhardt Ploner way behind after 13 minutes, but the shot was just wide. Arumasze took the lead 22 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as Fabian Józefik elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A cross coming in on the right hand side left Bogdan Beşleagă alone in front of the goal after 23 minutes but his shot was woeful. With 32 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after Jin-Kyoo Kim came through the middle, but his shot went wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Kew enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Dinel Capră made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. Speedy Marek Pruchnik tried one of his patented rushes 56 minutes into the game, but Olgun Çizgen was just as fast and averted the attack. Kew's right side looked dangerous 66 minutes in, but Pavle Jović made a good save on Olgun Çizgen's hard shot to the top corner. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 67 minutes into the match after a good combination through the middle, but when Jin-Kyoo Kim tried to finish the attack, he couldn't get enough power on the shot to seriously challenge the keeper. With 75 minutes played, the Kew coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Mircea Zăbavă came on, Daniel Stoian had to leave the fray. After 75 minutes, Kew switched Crin Bucan with David Crâsnic, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The referee showed Kew's Ermes Rotella the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Under heavy pressure after 77 minutes, the inexperienced Arumasze struggled to maintain their level of play. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Salif Niass squirmed through their central defence after 78 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. Kew fought on and, after 82 minutes, Reinhardt Ploner was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kew, with 54 percent of the ball.

Arumasze's top performer was clearly Zufar Abdul Raziq. However, Salif Niass made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Kew player was without a doubt Ermes Rotella. Dinel Capră was a disappointment, however.
