The fans braved the pouring rain at the stadium today. The wet pitch made it difficult for technical or quick players to stand out. For once, the players relying on physical strength gained the upper hand. The following players took the field: Chalkias - Targoński, Srebovt, Jeričević - Petras, Kuszende, Clark, Heijster, Durusu - Darowiecki, Paes.

Lineup: Ranta - Korteniemi, Rueff, Lindros - Yritys, Julmala, Pittau, Eenmaa - Raukola, Lend, Seppo.

Piguyi F.C entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Salatut Elämät, chose to start the game with a 3-4-3 lineup. Piguyi tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+6) level with that tactic. Salkkarit were relying on their outstanding ability to counter-attack. Piguyi had a chance to take the lead after Milan Jeričević's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 14 minutes. Piguyi fans held their breath as Máté Kuszende scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! 31 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Franciszek Darowiecki broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Piguyi. It was obvious that team Piguyi had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Mustafa Durusu should probably have put his team up another goal after 34 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Rikhard Ranta kept the visitors in the game. Salkkarit caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 35 minutes into the match. Kristo Lend was able to finish off the move - 2 - 1. Piguyi's Walter Targoński got himself booked for a foul. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Tycho Heijster got himself booked. The manager of Piguyi was not happy. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Salkkarit's Omar Korteniemi put the ball in the onion bag after 39 minutes to make it 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Piguyi claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Piguyi broke through on the left 55 minutes into the game, with Ozzie Clark firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 3 - 2 lead. A great save by keeper Rikhard Ranta after 65 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Tycho Heijster struck from the left with a real cannonball. The coach of Piguyi was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 71 minutes, Troy Asanger came on for Mustafa Durusu. Piguyi's Tycho Heijster increased the lead to 4 - 2, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 73 minutes. Walter Targoński left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 74 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Eliano Carulli was the replacement. Cheers filled the stadium as Franciszek Darowiecki broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 2 to Piguyi. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 5 - 2. Piguyi enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Most important Piguyi player was Rachid Paes. Troy Asanger was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Salkkarit player was without a doubt Kristo Lend. On the other hand, Rikhard Ranta's play was disheartening.
