Dark skies made the crowd at the stadium today a little nervous, but the rain held off. Starters: Glutz - Dijadeu, Jachkelava, Shalwani - Rivas, Joyce, Al-Qarwashy, Androutsopoulos, Al-Khabouri - Lambauer, Silva Barbosa.

The following players took the field: Patruno - Yorke, Espina, Owens - Jacob, Satterwhite, Wright, Davis, Hong - Barlotti, Schreiner.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 3-5-2 formation today. Alexandro Silva Barbosa has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 3 minutes into the match. After 16 minutes, CASUALTIES put themselves up 0 - 1, as Taylor Wright finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. Alibaba's Alexandro Silva Barbosa made a successful breakthrough on the left after 18 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. Johnny Owens was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, CASUALTIES's Lester Hong managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 2 With the scoreboard showing that 33 minutes had been played, CASUALTIES nearly put themselves up another goal after Andrea Barlotti came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. With 37 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Milton Yorke of CASUALTIES to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. CASUALTIES came close to extending their lead as James Satterwhite delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 39 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. CASUALTIES enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

CASUALTIES were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 61 minutes into the match, but Nathan Jacob narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. CASUALTIES's Mitchell Davis made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 64 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. 69 minutes into the game, CASUALTIES worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Jake Schreiner would have put CASUALTIES up another goal 83 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The home crowd cheered when, after 89 minutes, Damián Espina's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The match ends 0 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by CASUALTIES, with 57 percent of the ball.

Most important Alibaba player was Johannes Lambauer. On the other hand, Samer Sabry Shalwani's play was disheartening. CASUALTIES's top performer was clearly Jake Schreiner. Andrea Barlotti was a disappointment, however.
