The clouds were hanging menacingly over the stadium today. Starters: Mavar - Bahubeishi, Shuman, Al Hammar - Malavé, Matthäus, Ebrahimi, Orban, Kinney - Lacarra, Gadanha.

Lineup: Jušić - Pornin, Kreutmeier, Maceda - Corrado, Jaliltabar, Tiraboschi, Saab - Coppola, Martinon, Oneaţă.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team YILDIZGS went for 3-5-2 while SS AryaMehr has decided to play a 3-4-3 lineup. SSAryaMehr's Ricardo Corrado could have put the guests one up after 19 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but Janko Mavar was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Willi Orban gave YILDIZGS the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 SSAryaMehr's Nicolas Martinon was shown a yellow card after 28 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 30 minutes in, the unpredictable Diego Malavé of YILDIZGS turned and curled the ball towards goal, but it flew inches wide of the post, almost taking out a member of the crowd! Habib Al Hammar had a fantastic opportunity to put YILDIZGS up another goal 31 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. After 35 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after Elie Saab made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. Janko Mavar looked great 41 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Nicolas Martinon. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by YILDIZGS, with 53 percent of the ball.

Making his way up the middle 57 minutes into the match, Humberto Gadanha almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Vehbija Jušić blocked it to keep the score level. Gabriel Oneaţă would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Atakan Tynybekov entered the game for SSAryaMehr as the match clock showed 65 minutes. After 72 minutes, the home side was awarded a penalty. The visitors protested wildly but the referee was adamant. Humberto Gadanha easily put the ball away to give the lead to YILDIZGS. 2 - 1 The bench was restless, and with 77 minutes passed SSAryaMehr's coach gave Danulis Čamanas the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Ludovic Pornin reluctantly left the field. After 77 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Willi Orban gave the YILDIZGS supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 89 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Vehbija Jušić got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. SSAryaMehr's Armin Jaliltabar made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 89 minutes into the match. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Abdulqudus Bahubeishi squirmed through their central defence after 89 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. The match ends 4 - 1. YILDIZGS had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Humberto Gadanha performed admirably for YILDIZGS. On the other hand, Abdulqudus Bahubeishi's play was disheartening. The most dominating SSAryaMehr player was without a doubt Nicolas Martinon. Ricardo Corrado turned in a dismal performance, however.
