Ahead of the first game (361237615) of the U20 World Cup qualifictaions against Suriname on Friday, new manager Magnus took time out of his schedule to be interviewed by the Welsh HT Press team with some interesting results and some unexpected work thrust upon him.

HT Press So Magnus, first good luck for the big game coming up on Friday. How has the preparation been going for the boys?

Magnus Thanks for the good luck. We could need it. I have been working hard trying to find out how I can get the right lads to the game when at the moment I seem to have a load of coaches but no actual players. I have spoken to Tyrant as he is the clever one with all this NT and U20 stuff and he says it just sort of happens and sorts itself out for Friday so not to worry.

HT Press Has Tyrant been a big help to you then?

Magnus Yes very much so. He told me the tricks of the trade in regards to calling up and updating players and to have an empty squad in place for Sunday so I did that.

HT Press Yes why do you, and most of the teams in our group (/World/WorldCup/Default.aspx?cupId=149&cupSeriesUnitId=803) seem to have no players in the squad

Magnus Yes I too have been a bit confused by that. I did it because he told me too. Unless Tyrant is telling the others what to do too I don't understand the logic of it myself but hopefully he will tell me what to do next.

HT Press Do I get the feeling that Tyrant is picking the side more than you at the moment.

Magnus Oh no,no,no,no (worst Churchill impression ever)
I am picking the side. I just don't know exactly when I should do it so I leave that important stuff to the main man.

HT Press You seem to be a fan of delegating, is that fair to the people who voted for you to lead the Welsh U20 side? First it is Tyrant telling you what to do and then I hear that Flash will be running a competition and not you!

Magnus I was voted in to delegate. I delegate the side, and losing matches to TQ, I'll have the winning ones myself as that is the fun part. The competition is indeed being run by Flash and I am very thankful that he stepped forward to run, what should be a very good competition and I hope that everyone reading this article takes part. HT Press What is the plan for Friday then?

Magnus You know I can't say too much, as I am not in discussions with TQ yet but my understanding is that I will be asked to call up a squad on Friday morning and set a side with the intention of winning the game by as many goals as we can.

HT Press Any chance that we could have an exclusive to the name of a player that will be starting on Friday as I would quite like to enter the competition by HT mailing Flash the answer.

Magnus There are a few players in line to play but until the form updates happen I can't say for sure who will feature I am afraid. Sparky has told me to wait until after the form updates as apparently anyone with inadequate form or below is not welcome in Wales on Friday nights, apparently it is something to do with the Bangor girls?

HT Press Bangor girls? are you sure you got that right?

Magnus Me sure?, you're having a laugh. I am never sure of anything.

HT Press Right I am lost. what are you talking about

Magnus Lost you say, I would say ask TQ, or Sparky they always know the way.

HT Press I must say I have never been so ashamed to be Welsh in all my life! How you are manager of the U20's I just don't know. I am not writing this up it is a joke that you are even in charge of a coffee cup let alone an online football U20 team. Straight in the bin for this I think.
