U20 Players: guidelines

U20 an NT are interesting sides of Hattrick that few users know.
I would like to write about U20 in this HP; I do not find any articles about this topic. Instead, talking about NT, here you can find some advices to train NT prospects: (16649337.29), (16649337.31), (16649337.37), (16649337.38), (16649337.39), (16649337.40), (16649337.41).
I am not writing as U20 Chiefscout, only as a normal user: these guidelines are not official U20's training plans.

One of the most interesting things when we talk about U20 is in which way we can train a player that will be useful for U20. In the past there was only one way to train an U20 prospect, that is to train him in primary skill.
Today we have a new staff system and quick training that have changed U20 world.

When you are training a prospect for U20 team, there are some basic rules:
-at first you need solid (better excellent) coach;
-100% training intensity
-3 assistent coach: it is recommended to have a total level of 12 Assistent Coach (3 AC of level 4), but it is better to have 3 AC of level 5.
-Medic: higher is his level, lower is injuries' risk!
-Form Coach (it is necessary for U20 team players)
-Talking about stamina, there are different situations: for 17-19yo players, it is recommended 5-10% stamina, for 20yo players (in particular for U20 team's players), you should raise stamina % to 20-22%. In general we need players with high stamina when they are 20yo. Why that? Stamina % influenced the growing up of your player: with a high stamina share a player spend more time to skill up than a player trained with a low stamina . This is a table that show how stamina changes with stamina share (http://croack.altervista.org/images/stories/201004_resistenza.jpg).

Now I will try to give you an idea about training players according to their roles

Goalkeepers training:
Most important skills: Goalkeeper/defending/Set Pieces
Useful Specialities: unpredictable

Usually GKs are trained only in gk and sp. When the player become 15/15 gk/sp, we can take into consideration also defending. In fact, 2,4 levels of defending are equal to 1 level of gk: if a player spends more time to skill up to 16 in gk than to raise in defending of 2,4 levels, it is useful to train him in defending. But if the owner wants, he can train him in gk above 15.

skills:
16-17/born's skill/15 gk/defending/sp
15/7-8/15 gk/def/sp

Defenders training:
Most important skills: defending/playmaking/(sp for set piece takers)
Useful specialities: head/powerful

When players become 13 in defending, it is time to change training. The best secondary skill for them is playmaking, but also SP is useful (for powerful or non spec, in particular). Some defenders can be trained for CA, so they should first be trained in defending until they reach level 14; after that passing. Another kind of CD is the so-called "CDO" (Central Defender Offensive). He needs defending until 11, then pm.

Skills:
13/8-9 def/pm
14/7-8 def/pass (CA players)
11/11+ def/pm (CDO)

Wing Back training:
Most important skills: defending/winger
Useful specialities: head/powerful

We can have two differrent types of player: the first one, normal wing back, the second one, more offensive.
Talking about normal WB, when the player become 13 in defending, you should train him in winger (finally we should have 13/9-10 def/winger).
Offensive WB should be 12/14 def/wing.

Skills:
13/9-10 def/winger
12/14 def/winger (offensive WB)

Midfielders training:
Most important skills: playmaking/passing/defending
Useful specialities: head/powerful

Probably the easiest: only pm! Your aim is 15+ in pm. When players will become 21yo, they can be prospect for NT. In accord with that, NT scouts can ask you to train them in defending and passing.

Skills:
15 in pm

Wingers training:
Most important skills: winger/pm/def/pass
Useful specialities: head/quick/unpredicable (it is hard that wingers without specialities will be taken into consideration)

This is a complicated role: players should be trained in pm until 9-10, then in winger. Though their training is complicated, wingers are always high on demand in the transfer list (:P). So you could have players that can make you a lot of money!

Skills:
14+/9-10 wing/pm
12+/12 wing/pm (less offensive)

Defensive Forwards training:
Most important skills: pass/pm/scoring
Useful specialities: technical/quick/head

DFs are maybe the most important role in Hattrick: they raise midfield and sides' attacks ratings. Usually TDF (technical defensive forwards) should be trained at first in pm until 10-11, then in passing until 13-14, because of their bonus on sides' attacks; finally in attack. About QDF (quick defensive forwards), they should be trained less in passing and more in attack, because they use their scoring skill to realize Special Event.

Skills:
10-11/13-14/born's skill (or more) pm/pass/scoring (TDF)
9-10/11-12/9+ pm/pass/scoring (QDF)

Forwards training:
Most important skills: scoring/passing
Useful specialities: quick/head (it is hard that forwards without specialities will be taken into consideration)

Their training is simple: when they reach 15 in scoring, they should be trained in passing.

Skills:
15/6-9 scoring/passing

I hope that, after reading this little article (I should remind you that this is not an official scouting document), you will create a lot of little champions!

And finally: GO BANGLADESH! :)
