Nah, imo we're looking good and it sounds like Depay are leaving. That's about it for this window I think (hope).

I think that we should look to sell those who don't get games. But only if the deal is a good one for the club obviously. We're not under any pressure to sell and as long as those players stay we'll have more security in terms of injuries.

I mean - Memphis, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger are just getting paid to be the backups of backups. The same probably goes for Young.

As for buying - I think it's not a good time to buy unless we're getting someone on a very good deal. We don't really have a glaring hole in the squad that needs filling and if we do buy someone they will take some time to get used to the league and the team, which means they won't be helping the team too much this season. I don't really see us buying any finished articles.

I'm not sure we can really buy without having to sell either. If we remember the reasoning behind leaving Schweini out of the first team in summer then Jose explained that he wanted to work with a smaller squad, which means that if we buy someone we must also sell someone. I don't really see anyone who deserves to be sold in the first team right now. The only one who seems out of place is Fellaini but I'm unsure if we can find someone who would be an improvement there.

The only kind of buys that would make sense would be younger talents who would go into the first team squad but who wouldn't be automatic starters. But even for those to make sense someone should leave.

So I think we might see a few sales and nothing more that affects this season.

I wouldn't mind seeing us come to an agreement on some summer deals already in the near future though.

I think Depay and Schneiderlin will leave in January.
Young will be victimised at the end of the season, I think.

Lindelof seemed like a done deal a week ago, but now I think it is dead.
The defence seems strong right now, and we have 5 (Rojo, Blind, Jones, Smalling and Bailly) + some youngsters, that must be enough for this season.

I think when Bailly is back, it will be him and Jones in central defence. Rojo is to me to big a risk, I am always afraid he will make a crucial tackling and be sent off. We have already seen two times this season, where he was pretty Lucky, not to be sent off.

Depay will be out, if it is on loan or permanent, i don't know. Let Everton loan him, and make him play in the League, so we can him back better next season.

Rojo is a "lose canon", but Jones is also one.

Smalling needs games to get on his previous best.

Bailly is apparantly a lot injured (maybe because of his agressive way of playing).

Blind to me isn't a CD...a CDM for the long term as a replacement of Carrick: yes.

I hoped to see more of Tuanzabe and Fosu-Mensah.

Bailly is currently at ACN, so the next month he wont be plying for us.

Jones has played very well in the recent games, finally we get paid for the load of Money we spent on him years ago. Let's hope he can stay out of injuries.

I really hope Schneiderlin doesn't leave. He's got all the tools to be our Makelele, imo he's just never been given a fair shot. Often he's done well as the cleaning guy when given the chance, but he's never gotten a string of games to prove he's good enough or that he's able to improve through playing.

Yes, I know...for some reason Mourinho doesn't trust him, but I like the guy as well, he seems a good and professional player.

I think he could flourish and sometimes a coach doesn't like a player, but he's better at another team (like Mata).

He's a good midfielder but not too much more. If he were, then at least one of Van Gaal and Jose would've given him a longer run in the team.

Him getting praise at Southampton is a bit like 3-4 years ago everyone was praising Cabaye at Newcastle. Where he did well and was the bright spark in their team but since then Cabaye hasn't been particularly impressive. Or before that Charlie Adam. Both are good midfielders(well, Adam is rather old now, so not that good any more) but neither was great IMO.

IMO if we look at the current squad, then fine, he could play some more games. But if we look at how we want to see the squad in a few years, then I'd rather see someone like Carrick in the DM role. Or someone like Kante. Or someone physically imposing. All in all someone who would be among the best midfielders.

What qualities is it he doesn't have?

He keeps his head down; check.
He does good defensive work; check.

It's a matter of utilizing players for what they're good at. If you asked Ruud van Nistelrooy to play left back, he wouldn't be anything good either.

Schneiderlin's qualities is in the defensive work and simple passing game. Not distributing like Carrick or Scholes.

And as we are a team that is mostly with the ball and needs to break down opponents then we don't really need a DM who doesn't contribute offensively.

I don't like the idea of playing someone who is purely defensive in midfield. Even the best DM, Kante, isn't purely defensive. He has enough energy to go up and down the pitch and be an offensive option as well in many circumstances. We should've signed him this summer.

I think we need to aspire towards a team that has as many ball players as possible. It's already slightly problematic that we have CBs who aren't great on the ball. Would be great to have the next Rio in the team as well.

If we play with a defensive back four, then I completely agree.

However if we apply marauding full backs like Fergie did, then a defensive minded guy to help out the two central defenders when a full back is up far would be quite alright.

I'm not saying he shouldn't move outside of the penalty area, just that Schneiderlin isn't a playmaker and does good enough passing to the sides or more creative players.

You mean we need a DM like in 2010 when we had Rafael and Evra as the WBs and then Carrick-Scholes in midfield? :)

I don't think we need such a specialist in the team.

If we had Mata or someone like him playing next to Pogba, then we could use a DM but we have Herrera who contributes well defensively.

We have Shaw and Valencia, they should be able to complement the attack more than Schneiderlin ever could, which doesn't make Schneiderlin a bad player.

Doesn't make him a bad player but also I don't feel like he is too useful for us.

I just feel that he is the level of player that is very good in a smaller club but doesn't quite make it at the top club.

Other players that come to mind right away as someone who is good at a decent club but not good enough for a top club - Scott Parker, Fellaini. Or Cabaye. Or there are probably numerous more such players.

Personally I would love Evra back at united, he don't have the same stamnia like when he was running back and forth in the good old days, but I think he could do a better job then Rojo and Blind. And he would add so much to the dressing room, and would be a good mentor for Luke Shaw as the article also states :-)

I would like to see Memphis go out on loan to a mid table premier league side to get a run of games, I would like us to keep him, and hope he changes he attitude SOON!! but im affraid he is a lost cost for us.
