Not a great 1st half.
We need some better play on the wings, someone to stretch their defence.
I would also play with two forwards, a classic 442.
We need Martial imo and maybe Rooney.
I thought it was fine. We created little but the intent was there.
The second half the control isn't there. We're trying but the game isn't structured at all. In the first half I felt it was just matter of time before we unlocked the door. Now it's just trying to get near the goal randomly I feel. We might get lucky with that but I don't think it's a good strategy.
I feel Jose made a pretty bad call taking out Carrick.
The first match in a while where we've been below par IMO.
I think Jose didn't get his substitutions right. Removing Carrick was a huge mistake IMO. He gave the team control and set up the attacking moves. Without him we just didn't have that cohesion. Herrera isn't a playmaker, he is a battler and a runner and very good at that but as the controlling midfielder he can't really use his abilites to the fullest.
In the first half we didn't create much but I think we controlled the game and they were always under pressure. I think the possession of the ball we had in the first half was very different to the possession under Van Gaal. Today there were few instances where we played illogical passes backwards and almost always tried to go forward when there was space to attack.
All in all it's disappointing that we were so blunt in attack. Not enough chances created and in the end it's two points lost. Felt like it could be the perfect gameweek for us with four teams above us dropping points but.. oh well.
Knew this would happen after yesterdays results.
The ref was awful. But still we created only 2-3(?) good chances (Pogba first half at 40 min and the curling shot ath the end, Mata from Smallings header). Not good enough!
I don't think it was a bad move to take off Carrick. It would have been nice to start with 2 strikers/forwards in this game instead of 3 midfielders.

So what is our best 11 at the moment? When I saw the line-up for the Hull game I was happy and felt it was strong enough to win the game for sure.
And since the article mentioned Sir Alex I think he got the rotation spot on. Changeing the 11 to almost every game and you could never tell who is going to be rotated. Now there are some certain starters (Zlatan, Pogba, Herrera, De Gea) and some players who are being rotated.

I would like to see Rooney as a good midfielder but unfortunately he has too many killer instincts to play as nr5..

That would be my favorite lineup as well.
Not sure about Jones though, but if he plays every game like the last one and doesn't get injured, then he deserves to be the starter. A slight problem is that we don't have a pair of CD's where one is left footed. Blind is left footed, but imo he is not good enough to be a starter, so Mourinho must choose two right footed CD's.
Concerning Pogba, I wouldn't play him too offensively. Him and Herrera should play in front of Carrick/Schweinsteiger.
However, Martial must be a starter, as long as he is not in a shitty form.

It's not about showcasing, just chatting and discussing various themes.
This forum was very lively once, but unfortunately many people have stopped using their supporter or even stopped HT completely.

I think a good forum needs some minimum number of users and a smaller number of active users who chat often. I think we don't have that minimum critical number here to keep it active.
Back when the United fed worked well I was usually online during matches to share my emotions and see how others react. Now I've posted a few times but it feels pointless when I'm the only one posting during matches so I stopped.
Just saw that we drew Rostov in the Europa League. Not great in terms of travelling but shouldn't be a very tough match. In March it's not -20 in Russia any more either. Looking at the remaining teams I think we're huge favorites to win the competition. It feels like we might have a nice end of the season.
