Leaders Roli Red Bulls have a great chance to be crowned champions next Sunday. In fact they host struggling The Scousers who are in desperate need of points. However the latter know that their game of their life is that against Mellieha Knights in the last round. RRB want to win Premier for the second consecutive year. This would be the cherry on the cake since this season they also won the TTM for the second time also. They want to remove every doubt next game against Scousers so that last game against Doomers will be only a celebration party for the double.

Second place Doomers have quite an easy task on paper next Sunday against already relegated Selmun Hornets. However they must be very aware of any possible overconfidence. Their hopes of winning the league received a blow last Sunday with a thrilling draw against Monty’s Gang. Their only hope is that The Scousers will succeed at Fossa Dei Leoni and then play their match of the season against RRB at the Quake Arena.

Monty’s Gang have two very difficult games ahead. First they welcome Prima FC and then pay a visit at the Fischerspooner Arena against Digger FC. Theoretically they can also succeed in obtaining second place however it’s going to be very difficult since they need to obtain six points in these last two games.

Fourth place Digger FC is showing that he will be a great future team in the next few seasons. In fact after a disastrous first round, manager Carlsten focused on the transfer market and bought great players and the results are coming. In fact in the last 5 games, Digger FC managed to win 4 and drew only one. The last 2 games of Digger are tougher ones against Mellieha Knights away and then in the last week playing home against Monty’s Gang. I will not be surprised if he will finish second.

Bottom 4 places

The fight for 5th and 6th place is going to be very interesting. Apart from Selmun who are already relegated, Prima FC, The Scousers and Mellieha Knights are going to fight till the last minute to avoid direct relegation.

In my opinion, Prima FC are the favourites to succeed in avoiding direct demotion. The 4 point advantage obtained in the direct encounter last week against Mellieha Knights proved that manager Clive has a great chance to obtain 5th place. Next game away against Monty is very tough and then he ends this adventure home against Selmun.

In my opinion one from The Scousers and Mellieha Knights are going to be directly demoted. It’s a pity that one of these great clubs is going to play second division. Taking it from a positive side view, one might say that a new challenge in a bottom division may arise. Their match of the season is going to be in the last round with The Scousers starting as favourites due to their home advantage. In fact next round matches against Roli Red Bulls and Digger FC are not that important for The Scousers and Mellieha Knights respectively. They will be decisive if The Scousers will succeed to win away at Fossa Dei Leoni while Mellieha Knights lose in home ground against Digger FC.
