Youth players

You can acquire new players for your first team squad by recruiting young players. There are two different ways to achieve this.

  • The simplest way is to user your club's scouting network. Using this network, you can instruct scouts to look for players that they think are suitable to play for your senior team right away.
  • The second option is to start a youth team. Your scouts will then look for talent for this team instead. You will recruit younger players that need more time to develop. With a youth team, you can play matches against other youth teams in private or public leagues. Through these matches, you will be able to discover your players' true potential as well as train them before they are ready for the first team.

Finding a player through the scout network and recruiting them directly to your senior squad is a simple and time-efficient way to acquire talent. Running a youth team is more challenging, but if you do a good job it can also be more rewarding.

In both system, you rely on youth scouts to do the work. Each scout will present one prospect per week for you. Hiring more scouts costs more money but also give you a better range of prospects to choose from. You can only use one system at a time. The scouting network is used by default, but you can start a youth team at any time. It's a long term commitment as you can't expect any players for your senior team for at least one season. Once you are running a youth team, you cannot promote a youth player from the scouting network. However, you can of course change back. You do that by closing your youth team and start using the network instead. Beware, as by doing this you will lose any progress and all players you have in the youth team.
